You can use SNMP Test Utility to check if your network gateway or router provides remote management and monitoring functionality.
Is your monthly usage capped by your Internet Service Provider? If your hardware supports SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol) you can use applications like NetUse to monitor and collect real-time Internet usage statistics for all the computers in your home or office and more.
This is a free companion app for NetUse Traffic Monitor.
It provides a simple and convenient test for users considering NetUse Traffic Monitor to make sure it is compatible with your particular hardware before making a purchase.
- improved SNMP support
- resolved SNMP test freeze issues

Does what I need for FREE - not sure why this app got such poor reviews. i was looking for an snmp tool to monitor in/out traffic on my dsl router. this was the only free one that came up in the app store when i did a search for snmp. it works well with my dsl router and was able to show me exactly what i wanted. the only thing i would have liked to have seen is an option to change from KB (bytes) to Kb (bits).
DO NOT update! SNMP test does not work as claimed. - This version (1.3.6) claims to have updated the SNMP test functionality. In reality it no longer works! "Check My Network" does not bring a dialog any more and one cannot view or select the interfaces. I rolled back to 1.3.5 and "Check My Network” feature works again.

Surprisingly good for free - Great little app. Knowing the host name and Community, you can see the stats and info on any SNMP device. It even has a great bandwidth graph to show realtime results. Only thing that would make it better would be if you could store a list of devices and then just pick and choose from a list. But I’m not complaining.
Doesn’t work - Just crashes. Either says device is not compatible (which is possible), or when I test with settings that I am fairly sure should work, it crashes.
