Reference Tracker is an indispensable tool for writers, researchers or students. Reference Tracker helps you keep track of publications you cite or make reference to in an essay or research project, and creates formatted reference lists and bibliographies.

- Create Full References In A Single Step

With Reference Tracker's Publication Lookup, all you need is an ISBN or DOI to create a full reference in your documents. If you don't have the ISBN or DOI to hand, Reference Tracker's Publication Search will find books and articles by title, author and other key terms.

- Generate Formatted Reference Lists

Generate a formatted reference list with a single click. Reference Tracker has the latest versions of the most popular styles, including Harvard, APA, Chicago, MLA, ACM and Vancouver. Formatted lists are fully editable in Reference Tracker's rich text editor and you can export your lists to Microsoft Word, Rich Text, Plain Text, HTML, BibTex and RIS formats.

- Create and Share Custom Reference Styles

Reference Tracker has a really easy to use styles editor so you can create your own custom styles, or modify any existing styles. Even better, you can share your styles with one click, meaning you can also download and use styles shared by other users.

Release Notes:

- Added MLA 8th Edition to the built in styles.
- Added additional name ordering options for custom reference styles.

A most useful app - As a college student, I’ve had experience with almost every bibliography keeper, reference tracker, and source wrangler that there is. The simple user interface, built in formating for fonts, and multiple citation styles make this app the most pleasant to use of any that I’ve tried. I’ll be making the switch from EasyBib immediately, and will be using Reference Tracker for all of my papers and projects from now on. Keep up the great work!

not helpful at all - Unfortunately, this app couldn’t find any of the books, articles, reports, etc. that I wanted to reference. It did not help me with my report at all. Very expensive for it to be a total dud.
