Almost… nut not quite - I love these types of games. I have been playing it for about a week. In general it is an excellent concept and varied enough to make every experience different. The designers get 5 stars for concept and the attention they made to making sure there were a lot of technologies to research and varied political events. I rated it only 3 stars because unfortunately they missed a few things. There is a complete lack of a Online Help . You will have to search YouTube for tips on how to play and Google to understand some phrases like “Gain as core”, and I still do not have any clue what is supposed to be happening when a player attempts that task on a neighboring country. The AI is so random i think it has multiple personality disorders, so they need to focus on improving this and fixing some critical bugs. Nations that are facing an invasion or having just reached a peace with an invader refuse to accept alliance? This is the odd behavior of the AI. Many of the random events you just have to accept, which is inconsistent because some others you have options. The most annoying here is the culture aspect; there seems to be no way to preserve your culture or export it to your neighbors. But, maybe there is but no luck in finding any help in the game. The “tutorial” scenario is no help except for learning how to navigate the game. The behavior of rebels is also a problem. If one of your provinces rebels, it seems to be able to get more military resources than your entire nation is capable of supporting to fight for independence - very annoying bug. Overall, a good game to play and hoping they continuing making improvements because this could be great!
It has potential. - #1. Allow a choice of difficulty levels. #2. Remove the Action Points constraint. #3. Let users play as Kekistan. #4. Include suffrage choices that realistically impact gameplay: Landed Gentry (taxpayers only), Military & Veterans only, Universal Suffrage, etc. Landed Gentry would provide representation in exchange for taxation. Military/Veterans only would provide representation for service. Universal Suffrage inevitably leads to an unsustainable gynocentric welfare state that rewards and propagates the least productive members of society (i.e. representation without taxation.) #5. Allow annexation through war. Wars are often fought over scarce resources… not points.
