Description:

RSS Bot is your perfect companion to keep up to date with all of your RSS feeds in a simple, sleek and friendly manner.

All the information to keep you updated is available at your fingertips through this brilliant FREE app.

RSS Bot lets you:

- Check RSS feeds straight from your menubar
- Get Mountain Lion notifications for new rss items
- Filter RSS feed items, so only articles that match your keywords are shown
- Set the app to start at login
- Change notification sounds
- Open with Readability
- Choose to set a time for automatically marking feeds as 'Read'

Note: After adding a new RSS feed, you wil begin to receive notifications for RSS items (news articles) that are posted after the date and time you added the feed. RSS Bot will not notify you of old news items (i.e. those posted on the RSS that are dated prior to the date/time you added the feed to the app).

We've spent a lot of time thinking about the details and fine tuning RSS Bot, in order to make it your perfect RSS feed reader app. We're sure that within a few days, you will begin to love our little creative touches. We plan on a very active development cycle, so please spread the word and send us any feedback you may have!

My go to RSS feed aggregator for years - This little app has stood the test of time in my fickle world of little Mac utilities. It’s a simple way to add feeds with filtering to all your favorite sites without annoying notifications or distractions. When I’m free for a moment, I simply check my feeds and get the content I’m looking for without any other noise. Safari will try to add any RSS feed you click to the reading list. I just say no, and then RSS reader will pop up and ask to add it there. Set a filter if necessary, and off you go. Simple, unobtrusive, and clean.

Whats it supposed to do? - Maverick took away the RSS feed so I am trying out the app store. So far 2 for 2 dont work. This one sits there and does nothing. I keep hitting the refresh and finally it gave me 2 articles out of 7 feeds. Someone needs to go back to the drawing board on this one.

Best RSS Reader App! - I’ve used this app for a while now and seen it improve. It has a very simplisitc function, other RSS readers seem to overcomplicate things. After .opml export option was added, RSS Bot became the ideal RSS reader for me. Thank you!

What happened? - On January 1st, 2017, RSS Bot first purged all my RSS feeds, all 17 of them. And now I cannot add the feeds back. I am going to be forced to switch feed readers now.

Great RSS reader! - Great app! It’s simple, easy to use, works really well, and is very convenient. The only problem it has is that when adding a feed from Safari, the app window sometimes appears offscreen.
