Release Notes:

GET /updates

* RESTed 2.7 drops support for 10.6, because it doesn't have NSRegularExpression.

* Users may now embed URLs with parameters (see note below for example).
* Response styles updated.

* Sending Empty URLs no longer crashes RESTed.
* True/false are sent as booleans, instead of strings, when using JSON-encoding.
* RESTed now leaves most character encoding in the URL field up to the user.

###

URL embedding example:

- User-provided URL: http://localhost/{{resource}}/{{id}}/
- Parameters: resource = posts, id = 3, & author = true
- Destination URL: http://localhost/posts/3/?author=true

RESTed 2.7 matches parameters in your URL as {{\w+}}. So, parameter names need to be alphanumeric.

Working great on Mavericks! - Coming from GraphicalHTTPClient, RESTed really helps with structuring properly-formatted RESTful web-request and clearly displays the results, including headers and a structured, color-coded JSON response. It works great! One nice-to-have feature would be to have a “favorites” column that remembers my exact request so that I can re-call it later with a single click.

Does not run on OS X 10.6.8 - Purchased this app. Does not run. Console log indicates "Exited with exit code: 173" even after a reboot. Dissapointing.

Good App, Would’ve been Great if... - The app is good, has a good amount of functions. Would’ve been a great and a 5-star app if: 1. Add syntax coloring to the request body when it’s custom (like JSON syntax coloring). 2. Add multiple syntax coloring themes. 3. Add an option to turn text-wrapping on and off for both the request and response bodies. 4. Add OAuth2 authentication. 5. Add an option to start the last session when quitting the app. 6. Maybe, adding requests history.

Not bad - One of the better of these types of apps out there. My main gripe is the same as others, that the URL entry text field is half the width it should be. I find myself sliding the pane divder back and forth all the time just to modify the URL. Why not put it above the result window and make the other two areas collapsable sections?

Nice app! - I wasn’t sure if the app was worth the 4$ price tag at first, but now that I downloaded it, it’s worth every penny! It got all the basic stuff you need to test a RESTful API ! I mean if you’ve used Postman in the past, it’s as good as that one only it’s a native app so big win since I don’t like chrome eating my macbook pro memory!
