Great game, even with a few bugs. - Let me start of by saying that the graphics are incredible, however, there are a lot of graphical bugs that detract from this fact (purple/blue chunks, things in the distance not loading properly, pixel blurring when quickly looking around or moving fast…). The combat is awesome though, the weapons all are powerful enough, the game has many 4 difficulty levels so that any player can have fun, and the enemies are challenging and fun to fight. The driving combat and races are fun, and this feature definitely adds positively to the experience. The controls got a little messed up and i couldn't perform various actions at times, but changing the controls around fixed all of that. The story is a little bit weak, without major conflicts, and the entire premise is a bit cliché, but the quests are still varied and fun. Since the storyline isn't a main focus of the game, it can be replayed again and again for fun. Overall, it runs decently on my 2012 macbook pro, it is loads of fun, and it is simply the best game that you can get for the price.
DOES NOT WORK ON MTN LION - I bought this game, turns out it doesn't work on mountain lion. Visited the support site and found a post about this by Aspyr media. I asked for a refund, they said to 'ask the vendor' which meant ask apple, who of course won't give it to me. Wish this would've been in the description since I have the correct video card, instead of just saying it doesn't work on mountain lion (like they do on the support site) they talk about the video card. I won't every buy a game from Aspyr media again.

Awesome Gameplay! (Wish it lasted longer) - I played through this game on my mid-2012 MacBook Pro 13" and it runs very well, as long as you turn down the draw distance (otherwise you get funky blue chunks everywhere). Once that was changed it played very smoothly. The gameplay is phenomenal, however I wish it lasted longer. The game is very linear and doesn't offer much room to do what you want. If you're expecting Fallout 3 or New Vegas, don't. So, lets just say it was good while it lasted (maybe 10 hours). Four stars. :)
Doesn't work - This should be taken down or at least a warning posted that it DOESN'T WORK IN MOUNTAIN LION. Doesn't seem like brain surgery.
High Price, Limited Fun - Cons: -$19.99 for Campaign ONLY NO Co-op and NO Multiplayer. Rage on Steam has both of these features and has the same cost as this version. -No New Game+ This means all the weapons, vehicles, items, and upgrades you acquired will be lost upon completing the game. To me this was a huge letdown. -There isn’t much of a story -Loading times can be a bit long Pros: -Fun shooter action -Nice Graphics (depending on your settings) -Mini-Games are fun -Vehicle combat is enjoyable Additional Notes: Anarchy Edition content includes the Fists of Rage, Double-Barrel Shotgun, Rat Rod, and Crimson Elite Armor. However, almost every item is unnecessary: -Fists of Rage You will rarely use the Fists of Rage unless you run out of ammo and later on in the game the enemies become tough enough to withstand multiple hits. -Double-Barrel Shotgun I found myself using the semi-auto shotgun more than the Double-Barrel since the Double-Barrel needs to reload after every shot. -Rat Rod The Rat Rod can only mount one weapon at a time and will most likely be replaced by the other vehicles you acquire later on. -Crimson Elite Armor Probably the most useful Bonus Content item. It makes every other outfit unneeded.
Indredible game and graphics - I'll admit that I was a bit worried about playing this game on my iMac 2.9 ghz machine after reading some of the reviews here; However I am pleasantly surprised with the visuals and performance of this game. With the game set to 1600x900 without any anti-aliasing, the game runs at at 60fps or more without Vsync and does show some tearing; NOTE: does show some stutter with Vsync enabled. The only thing I couldn't enable was the GPU transcoding, I guess the Gforce GT 650m isnt up to the task. Enabling Texture Detail (should have been called "Detail Textures" since all it really adds was a micro-grit to all the blurry textures) caused quite a slow down; though the game warned me that it would affect gameplay and it did, but was completely playable. I have also not experienced any crashes as many poor reviews have pointed out. One bug that has been, well, bugging me is the game is constantly swapping my weapons during gameplay. Regardless, this is a good gaming experience and kudos to Bethesda, ID and ASPYR.
Overall alright.. but no controller support - I bought this game figuring that it wasn't going to be too bad, but that it wasn't going to be great, because it was only $10. So I didn't have high expectations for it. But it says that it does support the Xbox 360 Wired Controller (Microsoft, not some 3rd-party junk), and on the screen it gives the appropriate button for actions and such, but there is no reaction from the software that it is reading the controller. I use the same controller for my other games on my 2011 MBP, but for some reason it just isn't working for this game. Other than this annoying part, the game itself isn't bad at all and I would recommend it for a player on a budget who enjoys using a mouse and keyboard instead of a controller.
