Best Disk Usage Visualization Ever!! - I don’t know what it is about most disk info utilities that makes them great under the hood but a pain to interface with. Purple Tree is an exception to this rule. There is something about the visualization that is simply a pleasure to look at and interact with. One feature I haven’t seen before is the ability to filter the color scheme based on Folder Level, Date, and Size. Most tools I’ve used only have content type (i.e. Music, Video, etc.). The duplicate detection feature is an added bonus that I didn’t realize. Also, I contacted the developer with a question and feature request, and he responded quickly and cordially. This is my “go to” now for disk space analysis on OS X. You should make it yours. This app is WAY worth your 99 cents!
