Super program — Indie book publishers take note! - For a long time I’ve been on the lookout for a program exactly like Publisher Master. It has great features you expect from a much more expensive program, and the interface is so intuitive I figured out how to use it without resorting to any tutorials (Caveat: If you have never used a page layout program you will have a learning curve, no matter what program you use.). I was thrilled to be able to do things that are often missing in budget page layout programs, like set crop marks, create layers, free rotate images and text, and similar features. Withint three hours of downloading I created a fantastic book cover for a client, and am absolutely thrilled. There’s also a built-in bank of images and clip art, and of course you can import your own. I’m an editor, book designer and cover designer, and I think anyone who is in indie publishing should take a look at this program for two reasons: 1) fully featured ability to create a custom book cover easily. Pull in your CreateSpace cover template as a background image, then create your layers right over it, so all your elements are sized and placed correctly. 2) The ability to choose the resolution of your PDF file! If you work in indie publishing, you know what I’m talking about — your minimum resolution must be 300 dpi, and a lot of programs, including MS Word, lack that option. My client loves the first pass of their book cover, and I can’t wait to get it finished and see it in print. Thank you, so much, Wombat Apps! You have a new fan!

Hard to use - So I wanted to make printable recipe cards and this seemed like a good program to do that. But! I can’t seem to figure out how to scroll down in the clip art items. I’ve tried everything. NOT worth the $$! So frustrated.

good but not for large documents - I wanted to use it as a quicker easier alternative to Illustrator for a book layout and its good except but started freezing after about 35 pages. its probably best for creating smaller files like a flyer or poster or something

Version 1.4.2

Exploding attachements - Nice, at first. Then I tried grouping some items, copying and pasting and all the items pasted in pieces everywhere - unformatted at all angles! After 3 hours, I still can’t figure how to copy/paste a grouped item!!!!! On top of that, it freezes whenever you try to move, items. Plus pasted objects appear way outside of the margins and are unrecoverable! YIKES!
