For FREE, it is an excellent value! - Just got through with my first full game. The graphics and the physics are very good! No help, and no score keeping, but it’s 8 Ball. The table tells it all. In 8 Ball, the player to get the first ball in determines stripes or solids. If you drop a striped ball, you are stripes. If you drop a solid ball, you are solids. If the computer drops one first, whatever he got, you are the opposite. On your turn, you must hit one of your balls first, but you can choose any ball to get in the pocket. Once all your balls are cleared, you must then make the 8 ball. You’ll have to call your pocket for the 8 ball. A lot of people in different regions play 8 Ball a little differently, but the differences are usually minor rule changes. For that reason, my short appraisal may have missed a rule or two. But all in all, it plays well. Use your right mouse button held down to adjust your aim. Aim can be fine tuned by the clockwise and counter-clockwise arrow buttons. Adjust the power with the meter on both the left and right. Shoot by pressing the Shoot button. Enjoy!

Where are the instructions? - There aren't instructions for how to use this app making the app useless. Clicking on Pool Support takes me to a screen with several games listed and for each there is a link that says, "View in iTunes." Clicking on the link for Pool takes me to a screen that looks just like the screen in the App Store that appears when you download the app. I would appreciate it if someone would please direct me to instructions.

NOTHING WORSE THAN A COMPUTER CHEATING - At first this was a good game and then after I got good at it and played enough games that I won, the computer cheats to win. It will steal the solids I am shooting just so it could win the game. The more I win the more it cheats! The shots that would go into the side pockets don’t line up for us but it does for the computer. There were shots the computer made into the side pocket that in no way possible would anyone be able to make a shot like that. Another thing it does is use the 8 ball or one of my balls to shoot the computer’s ball into the pocket. THAT IS CHEATING AND THE COMPUTER CHEATS AS MUCH AS IT CAN BECAUSE THE COMPUTER PROGRAMMER IN HIS/HER WARPED SENSE OF COMPETITION SEEMS TO THINK THAT IS THE ONLY WAY TO GIVE AN APPONENT COMPETITION, SO THE PROGRAMMER BUILT IN A CHEATING MECHANISM INTO THE SOFTWARE TO CHEAT US OUT OF WINNING. CHEAT/CHEAT/CHEAT/CHEAT/CHEAT…………………………………………………………………………………………………..CHEAT/CHEAT/CHEAT/CHEATER

Bad Physics, Can't Add Spin, Bad AI - The physics are comical at best. Balls OVER-react to any contact causing them to go flying accross the table when in reality they should have moved very little. You can't add any spin to the cue ball. The AI is a joke. That said, it's not a bad start. Maybe I'll come back next year to see if it's more playable. And heck, if these areas were improved I would even pay $ to play.

Awsome Pool game! - This game plays very realistic. I don't know what game one of the other reviewers was playing when they said the "AI" (computer) cheats by takeing extra turns and not giving them the correct number of shots? I think they don't know how to play pool because this game was spot-on! When I played, I broke and didn't get balls in, so during the AI's turn they got a "solid" in and shot again but missed. They did not take any extra turns. Next during my turn, I shot at one of my "strips" and got it in, then shot again and missed. Then the AI shot but didn't have anything good to hit and missed, then it was my turn … etc. Both my shots and the AI's shots were VERY REALISTIC. And the ball banking, angling, rolling and striking were VERY REALISTIC. I have played "8-ball, last pocket" pool for a long, long time, and when I played this game - it made me feel just like I was in a pool hall playing a real game. Excellent!!!

Fun, but a bit disappointing - First off, for a free game, I really can't complain. The game is beautiful. It really looks nice. That said, the AI is a bit lacking. It is so purposefully bad its kinda like watching a really bad actor try really hard. Funny, but sad too. The other thing, I just sank the 8-ball on the break. The game is not over! It's wanting me to take another shot? The game should be over and I should win… 8-ball on the break is an instant-win. I have screenshot if needed… Update: After returning to the game I sank a ball and it awarded me the win. Still, it should have been awarded after the break.
