Awesome! Thanks!!! - I am very happy with all the features Pocket Money has. I use to have this program looong time ago in my Palm. It helped me to keep track of my expenses and debt. This version is great, I sync my iphone and my mac easily. Thanks!!
Absolute Rubbish! -- Version 2.0.3 - I bought this app because it came highly recommended. I have the Desktop, iPhone and iPad versions; all of which are USELESS to ME if I CANNOT SYNC THEM! I've tried every network setting and configuration for hours and NOTHING! I can't get my devices to sync to each other, let alone the desktop version on my iMac. Please don't waste any of your hard earned money on this app. The user experience is awful and syncing is non-existent (no matter how many videos and stupid step-by-step tutorials the developer publishes).

I'd give it 2.5 stars if I could. Good potential, very buggy app - I've been using this app for over a year now and it's gotten progressively worse since I've used it, with a lot of bugs that need work. I like the ease of having an app that can sync across my Macbook, iPhone and iPad, so I can keep my finances current - IF it worked as it should. I've been having major issues with transactions entered in the server version on my Macbook not showing up at all, or correctly, on the iPhone and iPad versions, especially if they're entered in as splis with cash taken out in the transaction. All versions also have annoying tendency to misallocate a transaction to the wrong account if you have the autofill setting enabled, so you have to be very alert to this glitch - even if you think you've assigned the right account and save it, it still sometimes dumps into another account, so you have to watch it like a hawk. The fact that this app allows one to not use a check register is progressively being outweighed by the profound glitchiness it's developed. I can't honestly recommend this app anymore, as I once did.
iPhone version better - The key difference with this desktop version is the lack of iCloud syncing. I do ALL my work with the PocketMoney iPhone version and it would be nice to have it sync to iCloud and show up on this one. Lots of bugs too. I have tried all the other syncing methods and they are all worthless.
Do NOT make this mistake - It took me hours to enter my transactions into this software, and while doing that- I noticed a few small bugs that I just figured I'd work around. Now I'm finding because of major design flaws and bugs, it takes me twice as long to reconcile accounts as it has in any other application I've used. You can't save an incomplete reconcilation, and you loose all changes (including new transactions) if you cancel the reconcilation before it's balanced. You can't search in reconcilation and the sort feature looses transactions- which I you can't get back until you cancel the reconciliation. Save yourself a lot of grief. Look for another application!
I use to love this app but now….. - I’ve used this app for a couple of years and when I started it was great but now it has many problems, crashes, syncing problems and no fixes for a long time from the company. I’ve waited and posted comments on the companies website concerning the problems but nothing. So at this point in my life I’m looking for another app. Sorry pocket money, you had a good design and it was user friendly but what happen? Did you just move on to something else?
Been using since Newton days - I’ve been using PocketMoney since the days when it was on Newton. Currently the iOS version is unstable and there are some things that are not as similar as they should be between the iOS version and the Mac Desktop version. I would like to stability improve and central syncing using dropbox or iCloud so that I don’t have to launch two copies on different devices to get them to sync. When I started having troubles and it seemed to be more difficult than it should be, I still couldn’t find a better solution. But sucking less isn’t a good way to get to the top. Still needs a lot of improvement.
