Best one out there! - I’ve had this for a week now and this has been the best find for me…Best app I’ve ever purchased! sync my ipad and iphone with no problems at all. Customer service has been great, always getting back to me within 24 hours. If you are a paper planner person(I’ve used FC for years) and have been trying to find an electronic solution, this is it! I’ve tried them all so save your money and go with this one. I believe there is a lite version for IOS so you can play with that first. Overall the usability is excellent, very little customization is available but that’s a good thing. My ADD/Anal side will want to tweek this til the sun comes up so keeping it simple and using it within the framework of the design is what I needed. This isn’t Microsoft or Apple where they can Beta test the product before launching, so we the users must give feeback so if you buy it, give the developers your feedback. Especially if there are bugs or annoying design features. At any rate I have been so happy to have found this app. Best of luck to you planners out there!

The desktop app does not sync with the mobile apps and vice versa - What they don’t tell you is that information you type-in (new tasks, marking them complete, new calendar events etc) on the desktop version of this app do not sync to the iPad or iPhone versions of this app - and vice versa. So if you want your task list to sync via the cloud with all your devices, it’s not going to happen with this set of costly apps. I paid for the desktop and the iPad versions before I realized it. Re-reading the description of this app, they do not claim to be able to do that sort of syncing, but when they can see so many users are falling into the same “expectations trap”, the developers should really explicitly state that the app does not do this. They should also consider refunding money to customers who never would have bought the product if it had been clear the product doesn’t do this or letting users know when we can expect this feature upgrade. Cross device syncing is a reasonable user expectation in what are today considered "best-in-class" apps. With regard to everything else, this app is fantastic. By creating a very intelligent Franklin-Covey interface and task management prioritization system, this has the potential to be a game changer in this space.

A Digital Planner - This is the next best thing to having a paper planner! I love that it features events, tasks, and notes! Plus, it’s beautiful! I have Planner Plus on all of my devices: iPhone, iPad, and Mac. Feature Requests: • I agree with several of the other reviews and users… the next key feature needs to be unfinished task forwarding. So any tasks that don’t get done today, get moved to the next day, or we have the option to defer them to a later date. • Also, it’d be nice to click in the area (like the calendar section, or the tasks section, or the notes section) in the Day view and it create a new event, task, and note. I usually sit down and create my tasks for the next day the night before, so it’d be great to be able to just type a task, hit the return key, and then it immediately take you down to the next field to be able to type the next tasks. • Search function. Someone reviewed that there is a way to search, but I cannot find that function anywhere. Overall, an amazing app!

Review by Disappointed in this version

Disappointment compared to iPad/iPhone app! - I have purchased the iPad and iPhone Planner Plus apps, as well as this desktop version, so I’ve easily invested quite a bit of money into this app, and the desktop app couldn’t be more disappointing. It keeps malfunctioning and not allowing me to “right-click” and delete an event. If I add a new event, while I’m typing the title, it just saves it (partially unfinished), and I have to re-open it to edit the event. It has also not saved any changes that I have made on occasion, or synced them with my other devices. I also wish that in the month calendar view, the time would be listed next to the event, so that I don’t have to open the day view to see what time an appointment is. But I do love that I can add notes by the week/day, and also create tasks that I have to check off. I have contacted support several times and they responded once saying that “to delete an event, please right click”, after telling them that it was not working and that there are bugs in the app that need to be updated, they did not respond and I have not heard back since. If these things are fixed, I would be happy with my investment in the app.

Could be better, but nto many options. - Would be nice if it had a notes tab, instead of just adding it on a specific day. That way the notes persist, instead of falling into the back to the day it was written. Interface is decent, just seems a bit limited, relative to the price. Edit: Just started using it, and had to drop a star. It’s only functional as a read only at the time. i can’t add events to my calendars. I’ve changed it from 12 hours to 24 and it suddenly became unresponsive to event additions. I’m just trying to add a birthday event, an dit simply doesn’t work. Defeats the purpose of a planner. If you have the iOS version, just stick with that, unless you absolutely need to view it on your machine. This is bounds and leaps below the standard of their iOS development team. Edit 2: OK, figured out how to do it, not sure if it’s persistent. Still a bit lacking. For the developers, it doesn’t allow me to select the calendar to edit the calendar. it needs to be set in the preferences. It’s a bit unintuitive, i have to click, then click again to edit the event.

Please fix the bugs in this app! - Frustrating! When you add an event it doesn’t automatically open a window to enter the specifics. You have to "double click" the added event and then “edit” it to enter details. After spending the time to enter the event, alerts, etc. then clicking “done” it almost immediately reverts to the original state of having no details. I have had to reenter information 4 or 5 times to get it to actually “stay" in the calendar and not revert! This is hit or miss and a ridiculous waste of time. It does not sync well across devices, again hit or miss. As others have mentioned it takes way more time to deal with entries and reentries than it would to just write it down or use a different calendar app. Please update and correct the bugs in this app! It is very expensive to function so poorly!

Does not synch well between devises - I purchased Planner Plus because I liked the layout, which was very similar to FC products. I purchsed a download for both my iphone and Mac Airbook, hoping to be able to keep calendars synched with a product whose layout I liked. I had a TERRIBLE time getting the Planner Plus to synch between both devises. Some functions were suppose to synch via the iCloud, other functions were suppose to synch with DropBox. I did not feel like they worked properly. I contacted customer support about a different issue and they responsed within 48 hours. However, when I sent a second email, asking about the synching issue, I never did get a response. I would use this product, if I felt like the synch process worked properly, but currently, I do not trust that it does - that means missed appointments and errors. If I was only using it on one devise, it might be OK
