Simply incredible. Keep it up! - This app is the only thing a photographer will ever need. I’ve tried almost EVERY photography app available for Mac, both in and out of the App Store. Everything from free open source stuff to the big bad Adobe Lightroom. Everything I’ve tried so far has been plagued by one of two things: 1. missing features 2. clunky, complicated UI. Photoscape X is the best of both worlds. It perfectly blends all the best pro features (lens correction, RAW support, masking brushes, etc.) with the fun basic features (light/color correction, frames, quick filters, etc.). The built-in printing features are priceless too! The free version is almost complete and will serve the majority of beginners. I opted to pay the $29 for the extra pro features. I can honeslty say it was well worth the money. In fact, I would probably feel the same even if I paid over $100. This app has all the feautres I used in Lightroom wrapped up in a far cleaner UI. Best part is, I no longer have to pay the devil, I mean Adobe, an insane $10/mo subscription. This app just keeps getting better with each update! Keep up the absolutely incredible work, guys!

Used to Be the Best App out There - A few months ago I sent the developers of Photoscape X a long email detailing how much I “loved” the app they made—it was incredible. I was on it once a day at least, and everything worked perfectly. Making icons through Photoscape used to be a relaxing activity for me. Until the app started to crash unexpectedly. ALL of the time. Thusly, I updated the app. This recent update has made this app INFURIATING. The last update ( not the current one ) had convenient boxes that were easy to use, had features that now have to be paid for, and had an interface that was aesthetically pleasing. This new one has colouring editors in seperate tabs, removed a frame that I used on almost all of my icons, and is more challenging in general, I think, to use. I would give a limb to have the last update back. Truly. A de-installation will be ensuting, and I am disheartened. Now I have to find a new editor.

Used to be much better - Photoscape used to be a great free program that I had found to be well-organized and quite useful. I can no longer say that about it and I am very disappointed. Many of its features are no longer available unless you pay for the pro version. Also now there is no way to view photos in full screen mode that I can figure out. I assume you can do that in the pro version but I don’t know. And there are ads all over the place trying to get you to upgrade which is very annoying. I’m glad I still have an older version on my old computer that I can use ad free. That said, if you want to spend thirty bucks for it you will probably like it, assuming that it still works the same way that my older version does. But this new free version is not something I’ll be using.

Impressive and Useable - Update 3: Not only has the Save Project feature been implemented but I got an email from the developer letting me know! Update 2: I emailed support and received a reply within a few hours that the ability to save files in native, editable format is expected to be included in the next update, which they hope to have out before the end of 2017. That's exciting, not only that the feature is in the works but that the response came so quickly. Update 1: I found one oddity that is pretty disappointing. Saving and exporting an image is fast and easy but I don't see a way to save an editable version of my final image or even a work in progress. I just posted an image to Instagram, noticed a typo and now have to create a new image from scratch. Since I'm mainly going to be using the app for social media and web site images it's not a deal killer but this is bound to be a problem for some people. Original Review: After spending only 20-30 minutes with this app and another 20 on the help page, which has video tutorials, I paid for the Pro version. I can't give a comprehensive review but the combination of features, interface and usability is superb. I'm a former Photoshop user and have tried a few of the other decent Mac alternatives but this is my new favorite.

Almost perfect! - Using the program for quickly job done. It is easy to use. Many useful ways to work. But just one notch behind the best. Could be the best app of its kind, if few more options are added, like saving native files, watermarking, HDR, coloring of stickers, easy transfer between collage to editor window, etc. Thanks for continuous improvment guys.

Great Photo Editing Editing Software - I am a published amateur wildlife conservation/education photographer, and thanks to PhotoScape X, I have never needed to purchase expensive Adobe products. This app not only allows me to do all of the necessary editing to my photos to get them to look their best, but it also allows me to add texts, magnifiers, and stickers when I am trying to highlight certain features of an animal. All within one, simple-to-use app!
