Description:

Photo Privacy: Remove metadata (GPS, EXIF, IPTC) and thumbnails from your photos.

Most modern cameras and smart phones store extra information in the pictures you take.
They can save your camera make, model, how the picture was taken, the date and time, and if your camera or smartphone has a GPS module, the coordinates where it was taken.
You may be sharing your home address when you upload your barbecue pictures.
Some models may even store a small copy of the original image inside the file.
If your editing software does not remove this small image, even if you modify it, anyone could see the original picture stored inside.

If you like sharing your pictures, and privacy is a concern for you, "Photo Privacy" can help you by removing all that information from your pictures.
It creates a private copy of your pictures, which you can use to upload to your favorite social network or image hosting service, being sure that no private data is stored in the image.

Main features:

- Supports RAW, JPEG, PNG, GIF and TIFF image files (RAW support is readonly. RAW files are converted to JPEG files)
- Removes metadata (GPS, EXIF, IPTC) and thumbnails from your pictures.
- Safe: A new image is created without any private information, keeping your original pictures unmodified.
- Easy to use interface. Two easy steps to get your private pictures.

Does exactly what it's supposed to do - After auditioning a bunch of junkware I found on Macupdate, I came across this great little utility. It worked perfectly. Nice job, Ernesto.

Not Stable - The concept is good - and the need for photo privacy is real… but this application is not stable. I’ve had success a few times with it properly removing information (like GPS location, and device used for the photo)… but since the update to OS X 10.9.2., the application crashes - even for one photo. It comes just closes. I’ve restarted my mac, ensured nothing was running and I get the same error. I wrote the company for help but haven’t heard anything back. It did work on OS X 10.8 before I did the update. I suggest there may be a need for a patch or edit to make the software support the latest version of OS X. It’s worth a shot for less than $5, but be aware that it may crash on you and be unstable. I’ll update my rating if the company gets back with me and provides a solution to the problem - otherwise, I’ll leave it at 1 star as unstable.
