Phone Amego was developed to fill the gap between your phone and your computer. With Phone Amego, you can streamline calling and call management by automating the typical procedures you would perform when using a phone.
* On screen caller ID with optional voice announcement
(including Address Book search and web reverse lookup)
* Dial calls from your Address Book or selected text
* Keep notes on each caller in a shared database
* Flexible call logging and accounting
* Supports popular Bluetooth phones including iPhone
* Supports landline phones via USB modem
* Softphones including Skype, Bria, and X-Lite
* Receive SMS
* Send SMS (via Skype or GV)
* Bluetooth speakerphone
Be more productive:
* Save time dialing when the number you want to call is already on your computer.
* Identify who is calling before you reach for your phone.
* Block or Ignore unwanted calls.
* Organize call records and pull up related information with a few clicks.
Note: Phone Amego depends on Bluetooth which is not 100% reliable in every environment. If you have a question or encounter a problem, please contact the developer for assistance before posting a review. Phone Amego is a menu bar item so the only visual indication the application is running will be a telephone icon along the top right hand side of the menu bar.
Mavericks compatible, sandboxed, new documentation, many fixes, separate Standard from Pro version.

Love this little app! - I've been looking for this kind of integration for the longest time. I know everyone'e experience varies, but if you follow the directions on the developer's website, the setup literally takes about 2 minutes. The hardest part was getting my phone to pair. The timeout during the BT pairing process on OS X is way too fast, but that's not Phone Amego's fault! As far as the app goes. How cool is this! My phone rings, the caller ID info shows up on my computer. I click to accept or deny the call and bam, I'm up and running. I find the audio quality Bluetooth pretty lousy in general, so I have a Plantronics S10A jacked in to my iPhone. I'll probably continue using it, even with Phone Amego. Here's where the big value comes in. I use my cell phone (iPhone 4) as my primary telephone, and I work from home. I have over 500 active contacts in my Address Book. I provide telecom consulting for over 100 offices around the country. With my phone on my desk, calling someone meant digging through my address book on my phone in order to make a call. With Phone Amego, I use Quicksilver to *quickly* pull up the contact, click the label of the number I want, and Phone Amego dials the number. MAJOR productivity improvement. Being able to log my calls to a calendar is great for me too, because I bill for the time I'm on the phone. No more scrolling through my call history to find out who I talked to and for how long. It's all logged to my calendar. This app works great, and the developer is very responsive. He replied to me regarding plug-ins in under an hour. I suggest that anyone with questions about the use of this app visit the developer's website and take advantage of the 21 day trial before downloading then complaining that you can't get it to work. This is a great example of a fantastic Mac software developer.
Do not purchase - I installed this on my mac. It does not work. I have tried everything to get it to work. I read all the support. I am still working on getting this app to work.

Waiting on New release - Excellent App,saves a lot of time, easy to use. But we need update for Bria 4.0 softphone
Great for call blocking - I bought this for the sole purpose of blocking unsolicited calls. Over the past couple of years, robodialers have been leaving blank voicemails on my system (I know, first world problem). I created a block list of about 20 phone numbers. It takes 1 (sometimes 2) ring for Phone Amego to check the blacklist and hangs up if the number’s there. New numbers are easy to add to the list. I don’t know how fast the app will be as the list grows, nor do I know how I’m going to manage the list (e.g. removing numbers that have stop calling), but so far, so good.
