The is the BEST Password Manager - I have used this for years and the latest update is awesome! Since the latest update, I don’t need to use Drop Box to sync all my devises, I just use iCloud! It works without any issues at all. I have Data Vault on my MacBook Air, my iPad Mini and my iPhone. What is great about this is, I can make a change to any of my devises and it will sync the other devises for me, always keeping my important and up to date information on what ever devise I am using at the time, it doesn’t get any better than that for me. It is also very secure with the 128 bit encryption standard and the premium level allows a 256 bit encryption to keep your passwords safe! The last but most important item for me is the owner of this software company. Marc is incredible, he is ALWAYS available and works hard to make sure you are satified. Over the years, I have had questions or due to my mistake not understood a feature of this product. Marc has gone above and beyond to make sure that his product is working correctly and I am utilizing all the features of this software. I can honestly say that he is the easiest and best developer I have EVER worked with on the app’s that I own. I would highly recomend you buying this app if you are in need of an affordable and easy to use Password Manager.
Promising app, but VERY POOR tech support - I tried loads of password managers for my iPhone before settling on DataVault. And for awhile, I was completely satisfied with both the iOS and the OS X versions. A few months ago, however, when I synced the two devices, I realized that the desktop version no longer registered any of the new entries that I had made on my iPhone. I tried deleting the Mac app and reinstalling. Didn't fix it. Then v.4.6.7 came out. But instead of fixing the previous version's bugs, the desktop verision wouldn't even open anymore!! Initially, tech support was very responsive. But after trying numerous fixes (from the FAQ's section, tech support, as well as my own ideas), and getting nowhere, tech support just stopped responding to my emails. It's as if they think, "If we simply ignore this customer long enough, he and his problem will just go away." I'd really hate to have to switch password manager apps, especially since the iOS version works so well. But if I can't even open the desktop version, let alone sync info between the two apps, then I guess I'll have to switch. And all because of lousy tech support!

Great App! - I have used this app for a number of years, across multiplel platforms, could not live without ir. Recently encountered a problem with iCloud sync, contacted support, within 24 hours had a work around, within a week a total cure! Cannot say enough good about the app, and Ascendo’s customer sujpport. ,
Simple, Works - DataVault provides a simple, secure interface to store all of my various account information and passwords. It stores the data locally, on my laptop, so I don’t worry about cloud security risks that are a problem for other password management solutions. It comes with a long list of pre-configured account types, from “Login” to “Credit Card”, etc. Each can be customized to store whatever fields needed. I often use the one-click button to copy a password into the clipboard so I can simply command-v and paste it into a browser password field.
Bestest Password Manager - Passwords have always been a challenge for me. It seems like no matter how I try, I always forget them. I’m constantly resetting them because I forget them. Enter DataVault. I’ve had a few hiccups with my DataVault password, lol. But support was there to hold my hand, explaining how to unmask my master password or set up a hint questions. Now that I’ve got the hang of it I wouldn’t be without it, on my Mac and iPhone.
Horrible - I don’t write many reviews and I tend only to do so if I am unhappy. Well, this software warrants an unvfavorable review. After coming from another utility which decided to go “all cloud,” which does not interest me in the slightest, I am shopping around for a substitute. My goal is to find a tool that stores all data, encrypted locally and will sync with my Android device over wifi. I’ve researched a few and thought I’d give this one a try for its affordability and feature set. Ouch. Wrong decision. I wish I could have my $10 back. My previous program, mSecure, allows export into CSV. This program allows import of CSV - it even had “mSecure” as a format of file to import. Sweet! But wait... The import code is terrible and the imported result was garbage. There there are many entries where the name is a blank space, or my email, or something other than what was in the file. Perhaps it was the CSV itself however it was just an standard export from mSecure. Regardless, the imported entries cannot be used. I tried “custom” format to map my own entries only to find out that this too was not consistent and the end result was not usable. Now I am left to clean it up and try to fix the data only to find out that the password cannot be masked. I created a custom template for a website with a few additional fields and no matter what, the password cannot be masked on the UI. I prefer to copy to the clipboard and not have the password displayed, but after saving this the imported entries did not maintain this setting. Never got to the sync as there were too many other problems. As a developer myself I understand that some bugs should come with the territory but this product is not a good choice for those coming from another password manager. Perhaps if starting from scratch this tool performs better but I can’t understand all of the other reviews of this application… 1 star.
Password Manager that’s easy - Looks just like an Apple application. Easy to use… I share the same password file with my iMac, iPad and two iPhones via iCloud. Now I can access my passwords when I’m not at home. Sure beats writing my list of 50+ passwords on a sheet of paper and hiding themin my office. You can setup your own templates search by catagory. With the template function, I store everything in DataVaut… passwords, credit card numbers and their 3-digit security codes, bank account info, insurance policy info, and the list goes on. I hate complicated programs that are too “techie” to setup and use… this one is easy and intuitive to setup and use. Worth every penny of it’s $9.99 cost.
