*** Several reviewers have incorrectly assumed that Panogaea can stitch panoramic images. Panogaea is not stitching software. Panogaea is a unique application for remapping and manipulating previously stitched panoramic images in ways that no other software can. ***
Discover a new way to see your panoramic images.
Everyone loves panoramas but they are always in the same format and have the same look and feel. Panogaea changes everything by giving you control on how to manipulate and distort your panoramas to create fantastic new images.
By leveraging the computational power of your graphics card Panogaea enables realtime manipulation of large panoramic images. Panogaea takes your spherical panoramas to the next level by letting you cascade an arbitrary number of distortion mappings together and see the results in realtime as you vary their parameters.
Panogaea can load and save images in virtually every 8 or 16 bit image format.
Although Panogaea was created with spherical panoramas in mind it can be used to manipulate and distort any kind of digital photograph.
Adds a user preference to limit the maximum number of megapixels of an image when saving to disk. This can be used to prevent the application from freezing if the system runs out of memory.
Reduces the memory requirements for square-format images (stereographic or equidistant).
Minor bug fixes.

Quick and easy artistic filtering for panorama photography nerds. - If you have any interest in panorama photography, this app provides a lot of very fun and interesting filters to warp and alter your images. It takes some getting used to how the filters work, but if you format your original image correctly it's very straightforward to use. A few minutes playing around with the filters makes it fairly obvious what they do and how they affect each other. I think there are similar filters available for Photoshop, but this app has two very important advantages. First, you don't need to buy Photoshop. Second, you don't need to buy a set of Photoshop filters for a couple hundred bucks either. At $4.99, this is impossible to beat for what it does. It's certainly a great enhancement to Photoshop or other image processing software you might be using. Panogaea is easy to use, and I know that the app author plans to make improvements and add functionality in the future. It's really a lot of fun.
Wow, that was a waste - I bought this app thinking it would allow me to stitch images together to make a spherical panorama. I was wrong.
