What's Oh My Cal! ?
Oh My Cal! is a multifunctional and multi-mode calculator. It's very cool and convenient!

Benefit Highlighting:

• Supports Basic/Scientific/Programmer mode.

• In programmer mode, you can calculate in Decimal, Octal, Hex and Binary and convert them each other.

• Very convenient to use, you can callout calculator in any workspace using the global key combination. And you can calculate the formulas from within the menubar easily without switching among several apps(For details, see the screenshots).

• A black berry flavors UI :-)

Why Oh My Cal! ?
You may want to ask: The Calculator.app in OS X is powerful, why should I use the Oh My Cal! ?

The Calculator.app in OS X is powerful, but it's not convenient. For me, I usually use many apps in fullscreen mode( Xcode, Evernote, etc.). Whenever I want to calculate some formulas, I have to switch among several apps or screens. Oh, I really could not stand!!! So I wrote Oh My Cal!. In addition to as powerful as the Calculator.app in OS X, it's very convenient to use (Global Callout or Hanging in menu bar).

Oh My Cal! is free software, you are free to use, copy, modify, merge, publish, distribute, sublicense, the source code of Oh My Cal!.

I have already released all code of Oh My Cal! in MIT license. You can check it out from here: https://github.com/TongG/Oh-My-Cal. If you don't want to compile the source code or you want to donate, you can buy this app at Mac App Store.

Close, but not quite - So the Clear, Enter, and = keys on the keyboard’s numeric pad do not function as expected and the toolbar icon is pitifully blurry and un-icon-like. If it weren’t for those issues, it would be my go-to caluculator, but those are pretty big issues for me.

Not the best example of a scientific calculator. Look elsewhere. - Well, if you’re just looking for more than a standard four function calculator, then this app will be fine for you. But, if youre really looking for a scientific calculator, then it’s not. First of all, it doesn’t allow you to look back at previous calculations. This can be annoying when you are doing more complicated math that requires a lot of algebra, and it means that you can’t go back through your work to look for errors. My biggest complaint though, is that it doesn’t allow you to use parentheses. This is a huge problem when doing higher level maths such as calculus or physics, which is what I, as a college student would be using it for, and a feature that I thought was standard on scientific calculators. Also, you can’t move the calculator around the screen, which is REALLY annoying. Anyway, it can do a lot of the basic math that most people will need it for, but if you’re looking for something a little more powerful, then look elsewhere. Even with the update, none of these problems have been fixed, but more features are promised in the next update, which is promising.
