Love it. - I’m admittedly a huge punk and usually avoid any kind of suspense/spooky games (Shoot, I won’t even play Gone Home cause something about it creeps me out), but I was compelled by the interesting graphics and the story from the trailer so I gave it a go. This game is great and is while unfolding the mystery is interesting, it’s more about the dialogue with the other characters and how it affects the rest of the story. Naturally, parts of it did freak me out a bit but overall I really enjoyed it and you it’s worth playing it through at least twice. Otherwise I didn’t have any issues with the technical gameplay and everything ran smoothly. It was a little difficult getting a hang of tuning the radio a with the touchpad, but other than that everything’s pretty intuitive.
Not for Laptop - I first played Oxenfree on my iphone4 16g ios10.2.1 and loved the click through paranormal story line. I wanted to enjoy the game on a larger screen and see if I could alter my ending so I purchased the game again on my, but on my 2014 Macbook Pro (Processor 2.8 GHz i5, memory 8 GB, Graphics Iris 1536 MB, OS 10.12.3) and was very dissapointed to find many features of the game plan unusable. No matter the resolution I played in, I could not get through the first scene even beacuse of how poorly it plays on a laptop. Disapointing waste of money, but I’m still a new fan of Night School since the mobile Oxenfree was great. Don’t buy laptop version.

Need Help - I will give this a better rating once I can actually play the Game. Everytime I get throught the introduction and Sam’s Picture gets taken with her friends, a window pops up as though something is loading and prevents me from interacting with the game. However the game picture and audio are still running behind this window, I am just unable to play or click anything. Any Advice?
Beautiful graphics, not so great game - Really beautiful. Design work is stunning. Narrative is a pretty mediocre campfire story. Gameplay generally involves tuning a radio very, very slowly. At a lower price, it would have been reasonable, but you can finish the game in a short afternoon.
Beautifully Original from start to finish - I have never considered myself a gamer. But the other day I decided to give this game a try. The videos games I have seen and viewed, to me, tend to all have the same style and consistantly try to grab your money. But there is nothing quite like OXENFREE. The gamer not only gets to live the life of a teenage girl but gets to control it throughout this magnificant adventure. Ever minute you spend playng the game, you are in control. It is almost like gaming in a #1 New Your Times Best seller novel. With this purchase, not only do you get a wonderfully executed game but you get a taste of how the game was created. With only a staff of about 5 people, Night School Studios hit the ball into another dimension. My hope is that Night School Studios continues to create games like OXENFREE.
Update causing crashes - The game was great until a recent update. Now I’m experiencing what others have mentioned: an empty pop-up dialog that cannot be closed and caused me to lose my progress in the game. Upon forcing quit, the saved game was erased and I was forced to begin anew. This is unacceptable. PS - I’m on a brand new MacBook Pro w/460, so it’s not my hardware.
How to fix the popup window - I too have encountered a blank pop-up window that inhibts the game from being playable. I emailed Nightstudios and they wrote: "that square is actually Apple's Game Center trying to start. All you have to do is log into (or enable) GameCenter, and it will go away.” You can do so by going to system preferences > internet accounts > and the login in+ picking a nickname. Great game!!!!
