Simple - I needed it for one task and one task only. It worked, did the trick just fine and let me make a small animated GIF out of an MP4 file quickly and easily.

Just isn’t HD - This is good for the price. I’m working on a website and have decided to use gif files as icons and even a couple large moving banners.. When you’re trying to get something large out of this software, I wouldn’t recommend but it looks pretty smooth when in the smaller form. After most of the research i’ve done from most of the app store’s selection on Movie to Gif Converters, this was what I found under $5. Most of the software doesn’t support HD so i’d go to online converting for that. Again, this is great for working offline too..

Warns you about large clips, but will crash if you use them, and other minor annoying bugs - Does work on small movie clips. Would give higher rating if worked more reliably with larger clips and functioned better. - Needs option for "Output Folder: Same as Source" - Needs option for "Output File: Same as Source" - existing extension + ".gif" - Moving Start and Stop "blue" triangle points doesn't always work. - Start and End "<<" & ">>" video position arrows don't work as expected. - When editing start and end placements, can't start video playback, stop it, and then resume from last point, starts over again. - Play button greyed out before playback and doesn't change to "pause" or "stop" button when playing. - Old choices for "active", "inactive" statuses for the duration "Lock" icon. - Needs description in App Store and within app about supported video formats. - Bugs need work.
