Amazing! - This app is great for people like me who have multiple bank accounts and cards. I can go to one place and see how much money I have in any of my accounts. It is great because I can use it on both my imac or iphone. It is super helpful and catergorizes your spending. This allows you to know where you are spending too much money and develop budgets. No more guessing which card has the money. I love the customizabale alerts that let you know that a payment is due or a balance is low. It helped me discover that I was getting a finance charge from one of my banks. I am now planning on closing that account. That alone will save me 60 bucks a year! I have only one thing I would want added to this program, and I wouldn't mind paying for it. I would want to feature a calendar that I can set due dates for payments so I can "see" when certain bills are going to need paid and even predict account balances throught the month. I would reccomend this app to anyone with a bank account.

Program seems adequate for very simple tasks but customer service is abysmal - I installed the Mint app primarily to track brokerage accounts and it does a great job tracking my checking account. Mint does not connect to two different and large brokerage houses and the engineers seem like Keystone Cops. I won't hear from them for a week after an inquiry and then I always get two simultaneous emails from them; one saying they haven't heard from me in a while so they will assume my problem is fixed, the other either asking me to try the same thing they'd asked me to do in their last email, which I had reported didn't work, or to tell me that they were kicking it upstairs to a high priority team of engineers, only to give me the same advice again. This has happened 3 or 4 times. One hand doesn't know what the other is doing. If the app works immediately out of the box, and it seems to do the job for simple things like checking accounts and credit cards, then it is worth using. If you need a more robust program, or even one that will simply connect to a brokerage account, or it doesn't work as soon as you set it up, I'm not sure I'd invest the time. With 20/20 hindsight, I wouldn't have.

Still using the app! - I've tried a few different personal finance management softwares over the years. Mint has been by far the most useful. I'm still using it 7 months later! Of course it keeps track of balances and such, but I found i very useful to actually learn about where my money was going. Creating all the individual budgets forces a recognition of what goes where. I can't fathom a reason I would ever stop using this app.

Review by I Tried for 18 months

Too many problems - I really wanted to use this app, and have been using it since 2\2013, so I gave it a good long try. Each update I hoped it would get better and instead it just got worse. I took the time to build a budget, linked to all my accounts, and categorized all my purchases and payments. It continually doubled line items in the transactions. It changed categories in the transactions. It then panicked me by sending me incorrect email alerts. I deleted all my mint accounts today and will be looking for another program. I expected more from Intuit; we did our taxes for years using intuit products and trusted this company. But this app is a mess. What caused me to delete my account today was the alert that (BIG EXCLAMATION POINT) I had spent an enormous amount on sporting goods; It had not only doubled the amount but also changed the category on our Long Term Care payment to sporting goods! What! I don’t need the aggravation. I did all the updates and continually had to re-catagorize incorrect line items and delete duplicates. It also accounted in terms of 30 days instead of 1st of month to 30-31st of month, which threw the budget information off.

Mint - Have spent a few months with Mint now and feel I can give it an honest overview… In general the idea is great and it started out so… After awhile, my accounts were now showing with the correct data… Thought this would be an easy fix and I reached out to customer support to resolve… And that’s when th drama started… Customer service seemed to know less about the app than I did and I don’t know much! My investment page was showing something completely different than the investment overview page with numerous errors… A large amount of duplicate entries were showing which may, or may not, have had something to do with the problem… In short, customer service seemed to not have a clue as to what was going on, didn’t seem to be intellectually curious enough to help me troubleshoot the issue, and quite frankly didn’t seemed to be interested at all… Sense the idea of managing my accounts from a holistic perspective is great, I plan to try one of the other financial account programs like Personal Capital or the like...

Awesome app, super support! - I never write reviews for stuff, but I am blown away by this app. Within about 30 minutes, I had all of my accounts (20+) consolidated into one interface -- it's outstanding! What prompted me to write this review was one of my bank accounts (a credit card with a smaller bank) was not initially able to sync. I emailed the support, and I got an automated message to check back frequently, as they are constantly updating their software, I was not holding out any hope. Less than 2 weeks later, I just checked and my bank has been added. I find this just outstanding and rare in this day and less-than-helpful support folks!!! Thank you!!!
