Great App, just needs more... - This app is great at what it does, but I feel like there should be more for my dollar. There's a similar app on the Mac store called "Dimmer than Dim" that is now free and can reach almost as dark of a level as this app (I have tested it myself, this app can get just the smallest bit darker), so I see no reason to charge the $0.99 more. I'll give this 5 stars, but if it had more features like shortcuts for darkness or maybe auto-darkness then I'll feel like I have better spent my money.

Absolutely Useless - I knew this application would be useless, but thought I'd downloaded it anyway (seeing it was free and would allow me to provide a review for others). Do not waste your time with this, it's nothing of value to anyone. It's as useless as a washing machine that doesn't work. I'm trying to think why the developer had to create this app. He must of been bored with nothing better to do!

better UI, worse technique + bugs - Midnight acts like a full screen app that adds a filter layer to the window. When comaparing Midnight to "Brightness", Midnight goes to a darker shade, and Midnight has a better UI. However, Midnight does not dim the mouse pointer, and Midnight is incompatible with "Blacktree-Nocturne" screen inversion app because of the method Midnight uses to darken the screen. I do not recommend version 1.2.0 of the "Midnight" app.

Is this app still being developed? - I bought this app by accident clicking on the wrong button, trying to buy a different screen dimmer. After trying the other dimmer and not liking it, I decided to drag this out of the trash and try it. I liked it better. But the website appears to be down for a couple of days now. Does this app have a future? Kinda pricey if it will become obsolete with Mavericks.

Great Dimming Solution! - The minimum brightness on my 2010 MacBook Pro was still too bright, especially at night! Thanks to this great app I can further dim my screen without the use of stick-on screen films that don't help much. Those films actually distort the crispness of the font on the screen! Please note: The only things that Midnight doesn't dim are the cursor and the Desktop, but I can live without them being dimmed. Thanks Ollix!

Good App, but not perfect. - Midnight gets the job done as a simple screen dimmer. It's intuitive and easy to use which I appreciate. But there's room for improvement. I use multiple desktops (formerly know as spaces, now part of Mission Control) and when switching between them with Midnight in "night" mode, the screen turns solid black during the transition which is quite jarring. I would also love to see a timed auto fade so that the screen automatically dimmed according to the time of day.
