Now it’s OneNote! And it’s great. - I am extremely happy with the latest update to One Note for Mac. As a person who’s been using One Note on Windows, Mac, and iOS, I was initially frustrated with the early version of One Note released on Apple devices. Inserting files and opening files inserted into OneNote pages is where I found so much value in organizing my work with One Note. Initially, these features were missing on the Mac and iOS version, which complicated and limited my use of OneNote. Now, finally, I can move from one device to another, and MS OneNote is MS OneNote everywhere. I no longer feel like I’m a victim of corporate rivalry instead of a Microsoft customer who also happens to be an Apple customer. If this is a sign of things to come with the next version of MS Office, then I will gladly join the Office365/onedrive universe and merge it with my Mac/IOS/Apple universe. I’m a best of all worlds kind of guy. Thanks, Microsoft. Great product. Certainly amazing value. Other folks out there: This is THE multi platform app to put all of your notes and artifacts for all of your projects in one very usable space and share them (via the cloud) with others collaboratively. Even if you’re only using it yourself, it’s an amazing app. I highly recommend it!!

Great on Windows, Crippled on Mac - I am an enormous fan of the Windows version of OneNote. It has served me well in a number of roles over the past five years or so. In a previous job, I had over 30,000 individual cases documented and archived in a OneNote file. Unfortunately, Microsoft has elected to make the Mac version completely reliant on Office 365/OneDrive, their cloud platform. This denies Mac users the opportunity to access OneNote files created on the Windows version, as well as the ability to create and store your files locally. All data input into this program has to be entrusted into Microsoft’s cloud. This raises major privacy concerns, and makes the use of this program outright illegal in certain industries. As a result, this program is coming off my Mac until Microsoft resolves this. Yes, I know it’s free software, but I’d gladly pay for a version that would open the files I use every day.

Handy and Free - I was a long time Evernote user, but changes to their TOS and pricing made me seek out something different. Being on a tight budget, some of the nice note taking apps were outside of my ability to buy. I picked ip OneNote and have not been disappointed. The features are myriad and handy. Being able to link it to IFTTT like I could with Evernote has increased my opinion of it. Little features, like OCR and smart web clipping have proved to be extremely helpful. I collect recipes from all over and it’s ability to recognize them and format them for easy use later is amazing. All in all, I am very happy with OneNote and would reccomend it to others.

My everything - I LOVE onenote. I have always been someone who needs a written calendar to stay organized. But then you have to lug that thing around, scribble out mistakes and run out of room. With onenote I draw out my own calendar and make adjustments as needed. I can take my perfectly crafted calendar everywhere I go on any of my devices. This app is the best.

Part of my life now - I Love it, simply one of the best mobile application you can find ever. The more i use it the more i get attached to it, I’m using it now for 6 months plus, and can’t immagine a day pass without opening this app and write something in it. all your data and everything you want to capture you can put in there, then down load this app to any device, with any operating system, just name. for instance, i use it on my iphone, glaxy tab, and MacBook Air, everything is synchronized, nothing is lost. Microsoft to the top again !

More capable than I yet know! - I love that it’s grown and improved and added capabilities beyond what I yet know, and especially that it seems dependably here to stay! So many apps get a terrific start, get you hooked, then change their focus - and pricing! - and you’ve lost your work. Four stars just because of the learning curve and some basic word processing functions that are awkward. The simple stuff is often overlooked by techies as they build amazing capabilities! But I’m here to stay with OneNote - esp. as dedicated word processors become ever more awkward, not really imrpoving their breadth and ease of use like OneNote! Thank you for your commitment to making it evermore all-encompassing - and stable! - for the great variety of daily uses - across devices!

Shared Work Dream! - I use OneNote to share documents with my direct reports as well as my supervisor, and keep all of our tasks organized. It’s so much better than trying to share a handwritten notebook, and we can all track who is contributing in real-time.
