Great little app - This is a great little app to time tasks, activities, etc. It works exactly as described. Would be more helpful to have a countdown timer mode with alarm/chime, instead of timer that counts "up" like a stop watch.
not what I expected - This is freeware, so I can't really complain, and perhaps I misunderstood this app's purpose, but I was looking for a countdown timer, e.g., set hh:mm:ss and click "start", and a count-up timer, e.g., reset timer to 00:00:00.000 and click "start". As others have mentioned, "date" does not enter into either use case.

Lose the date - This would be perfect without the mandatory date setting. I love the font option.
Needs work - Please just let me set how many minutes to count down. Other than that, great app and thanks for making it free!
Only appears when it wants to - After much frustration, I finally figured out that it is only visible when I am in certain applications. E.g., now I’m in the app store and it’s visible. If I swtich to Chrome or Safari, it disappears. Word, no. Microsoft Auto Update, yes. Calendar, yes. Weird. Not useful!
Dude, its a timer, don’t make me set a date - Please have a mode where I just say how many hours/minutes/seconds I want to countdown from. Setting a date should be an edge case for a timer app - look at the iOS timer app for inspiration.
Perfect for studying and test preparation ! - I need to solve test question during a preset period - in my case around 1 min 20 secs per question and analyse the explanation. But if I overrun I need to know the overrun time. Also I prefer to have it always on top and easily control it (reset, start, pause etc). For all of these tasks it is JUST PERFECT. THANK YOU SOOOOO MUCH !
