A must have app! - Even if you’re a casual user (i.e. not a tech geek) you should download this app. You will find it immensely helpful (especially in times of need like repairs, resale, getting replacement parts, etc.) for identifying your exact computer or idevice. For the Apple/Mac afficiando or collector, it is an invaluable tool. It’s also fun to just take a trip down memory lane through all the many, many years of Apple products. How many products have you owned? Do you remember your first Apple II from back in the 70’s? Ian Page has done an excellent job with this app. Thank you Ian!
Crashes under Mountain Lion - Apparently this app either does not run under Snow Leopard, or does not run on a 32-bit Mac. The app's description should be changed to reflect this fact.

Great Apple Product Reference Guide - Every time I have a question (or am asked one) about an Apple product, Mactracker is my first go-to source. It’s quick, and it has the answer. I’ve identified dead computers using the model number on the bottom, what type of RAM to buy, what kind of HD upgrade would work, when I actually acquired it (and thus if it would still be under warranty or applicable to a recall), which phone version I have… it’s a terrific guide for techs and shoppers alike.
What happened to the updates? - I’m writing this from my 2017 iMac 18,2, but Mactracker’s most recent is model 16,2 from 2015.
Amazing App - And you can compare different models, their hardware differences and even their benchmarks.
Needs updating - Good app, but desparately needs updating. The mid 2017 MacBook Pros (and other mid-2017 devices) are not in the app.
Indispensable - Mactracker is a must-have if you are in the tech field, an Apple enthusiast, and/or you are in the market to purchase a used Mac. I use it every day, and could not live without it.
