Description:

MP3 Encoder is an application for converting a variety of audio formats to MP3 using the high quality LAME encoder. It is multi-threaded and will batch convert multiple files at once, up to the number of processor cores your system has. It supports reading and writing metadata, including album artwork, and can create custom output file paths based on the metadata. It can also edit the metadata of existing MP3 files, functioning as a basic MP3 tag editor.

MP3 encoder provides you with a full range of MP3 encoding options. You can select from all of the encoding methods, bitrates, algorithm qualities, and stereo modes offered by the LAME encoder.

Does what I need it to do - I was simply looking for a tool to add some tags and a graphic to my podcast MP3s. Worked perfect. Only negative was not realizing at first that I had to click on the MP3 after dragging into the workspace. Kind of assumed that since it was the only file in there, it would be automatically selected. It wasn't. But once I figured that out, it was fine. Unless I missed it, I couldn't find a Help file which might have pointed that out. If I had any suggestion it would be for a simple Help file or maybe some quick videos on the site to walk people through the different options available.

I cannot get it to work - I have thousands of songs trapped in .WMA. I thought this might work (flip does not work either). It does not. Waste of money. I should have researched this online first. The reviews on CNET are awful. I am very excited to get this Apple update with the App Store but there so many apps that have horrid reviews and are not meeting expectations. Maybe this was not ready for prime time? Very disappointed. And out a few bucks.
