Description:

Lunar Pal is the ultimate Moon companion. It includes large amounts of information about the Moon for current, past and future dates. Lunar Pal visually allows you to see the current phase of the moon, along with other facts. It is the true astronomers friend, including the following details about any date: Moons age from new, % Illumination, Distance from earth, Ecliptic latitude, Ecliptic longitude, moon rise, moon set, and Perigee / Apogee tables. The astrologists out there will be happy to see the Zodiac signs of the moon are also in here. A calendar is included, when you tap a date, it will bring up more information for that date. I also have included an extensive help, reference, learning section. This will get anyone interested a good start. Knowing the current phase of the moon can be helpful for surfing, fishing, hunting, gardening, stock buying, moon photography, and of course astronomy. I have added everything I can think to add, but I am sure there is more. I will keep updating and perfecting the app as I get feedback. PLEASE email if you have a bug report, or feature request. I will gladly add any features anyone else thinks would be cool. Please don't give me a negative comment to leave me a feature request!

I've been looking for…. - It's a good start for this app!! I've been looking for something to replace the old MoonDock which doesn't work in Lion. This app is OK..but most people want to have just the moon permanently floating on their desktop..and to be able to control the transparency…and option to keep it above docs or below them..You used to be able to control the size..and make the moon really big or small and float it anywhere on your desktop. I would say as a suggestion…allow the panel background removed as an option and allow free sizing and floating with transparency anywhere on the desktop….double clicking the moon should allow a separate window with all the other options to be seen at that point. There are a lot of apps that were awesome in Snow Leopard but people can't find them anymore in Lion..the suggested would please a lot of people who are online asking for an update..but are not getting one. Also..to have this…floating version with size control…I would've paid more!
