Kent V., Albuquerque NM - Purchased today in its first offering. An awesome image editor, especially with loading RAW images. A dark image is converted into an unbelievable one which appears as if you used the correct exposure all along! I have utilized almost all the MacPhun programs and they are superb for what they are meant to process. I use Topaz software for most of my photo processing, but Luminar will be my go-to program for initial RAW conversion.

Luminar should tell all potential buyers it makes file Huge! - The filters and edits look cool until you realize that there’s no practical use to all the edits because a file that starts out less 170k will become at least 1.3MB when you apply even one filter or edit and export/save with that change. So, unless it is to admire your own work on only your own screen, there is practically no use creating any of the edits becaUSE YOU WON’T BE ABLE TO DAVE AND USE FOR WEB OR SHARE BECAUSE ITS TOO LARGE! Yikes! They should declare this up front. Maybe fine for print but this is a huge drawback!

Application Will Not Load Pictures - I have tried to load RAW and JPEG images and the application stops working and closes. I have the stated system requirements and have contacted Apple and Macphun. Neither have helped so far. I would not recommend this application

Just get it - I’ve tried Photoshop Elements and Pixelmator. Luminar is the best for photo editing BY FAR. It’s shocking how much you can improve your photos in just seconds. Don’t worry about things like curves, levels, and sharpening. You don’t need any particular skills. If you can click a button and move a slider then you can use Luminar to make your photos look better. And if you want to invest some time learning about Luminar’s advanced features for curves, levels, and sharpening then you can do even more. I use Luminar as a Photos extension so it’s very easy to select a photo for editing in Luminar. After I spend a few minutes making the photo look AWESOME then I just click Save Changes and the new version of the photo is stored in Photos. tl;dr Get Luminar.
