Latex Presentation was designed specifically for students and educators who routinely use Latex/Beamer to create their PDF presentations.

Latex Presentation strips down presentations to its bare essentials: Slides, Timer, Progress Monitor, Previews of Upcoming and Preceding Slides. Launching the software automatically detects auxiliary displays connected to the computer (like projector, external display, etc.) and lays out the slides appropriately.

If an external display is connected, the software shows the elapsed time, a preview of the upcoming slide and the previous slide in the primary display (laptop screen).

It is simple and straightforward to use. Primarily, this software fulfills a much requested timer and slide preview features, from people who extensively use a PDF for their presentations.

* Dual monitor support.
* Automatic setup of presentation slides on the external display and presenter guide on the primary monitor.
* Designed for Latex/Beamer PDF files.
* Elapsed time monitor.
* Preview of upcoming and previous slides.
* Presentation progress monitor.

Note: The view displaying timer and preview of upcoming slides will be enabled only when an external display is connected and the displays are not configured to be mirrored. When using this app with a single monitor, the the timer view will be automatically disabled.

* Left and Right arrows to move forward and backward in the presentation.
* Up and Down arrows work similar to Left and Right arrows
* Esc to quit the application.

Works as advertised - Product works as advertised. Note, previews are small and you must disable mirroring.

Very useful, but has a few bugs - The app works as advertised and is both simple and very useful. However, for some reason the slide counter on the presenter's display does not work when using a USB pointing device to move forward and backward between slides. A minor nuisance: a warning is shown on the external display when pressing the esc key. It would be more logical to show this warning only on the presenter’s display instead of showing it to the audience.

Very good but could use some simple improvements - I think this is really good if you are using latex for presentations and works as advertised. This said I am annoyed by the warning on exit (or the impossibility to disable it or show it only in the presenter screen). This is a limitation/bug that would take just minutes to fix. For the author: please fix this and it will be five stars. You could also give an option to make the preview bigger and the timer much smaller...

does not handle Presenter Notes [2.5 stars] - Chapters 19 and 22 of Beamer User Guide describe use of two screens with Audience stuff on main screen and Presenter Notes on secondary screen. This program does not provide that capability — it shows both main frames and presenter notes on each screen. Therefore, as of May 2016, it is only Barely Functional. Note: "support link" in App Store leads to a page managed by a domain-squatter, i.e., it does NOT provide a way to contact the developer.
