Description:

Keychain2Go is a Password Manager and keychain sync solution.

Store all your passwords, credit card information and other secure information in one place, strongly encrypted and secured by a master password with Mac OS X inbuilt keychain.

Keychain2Go is the missing link for Keychain sync between Macs and Macs and iOS Devices. Finally you can access, sync and change your Keychain on multiple devices (Macs and iOS).
The Mac version shares your local keychain to other instances of Keychain2Go either Mac or iOS, while the iPhone application enables you to access, create and modify keychain items.
Keychain2Go lets you store passwords and notes in a secure way and sync them with other devices (Mac and iOS) running Keychain2Go.

You can now create a new password for every website you want to access without using the same password again or forget one of them. The entries you create are stored encrypted and can only be decrypted by your master password.

Security is created by storing the passwords using known secure algorithms like PBKDF2, SHA1, RSA, RC4 and AES.

Kc2Go is compatible with Mac OS X up to version 10.11 (El Capitan). Apple changed the keychain interface in macOS Sierra. Apple is not opening the documentation on that new interface and I have no idea how and if I can reverse engineer it to find a way working around it.

Release Notes:

Changed filter rules to more closely match Apples iCloud keys and not match user keys. Filter rules are used to prevent keys that are changed constantly by programs and are machine specific (e.g. iCloud keys) from beeing synced to other machines.

Brilliantly simple. - But don't let it's simplicity confuse you. It's does exactly what it should, and nothing more and nothing less. I am successfully synching my MacBook Pro's keychain with my MacBook Air and with the iPhone app.

Non-Functional…Broken by Last Two Updates - The last two updates have rendered the desktop application (and hence the mobile application) non-functional. Last update deleted all items from my Keychain2Go keychain, and this most recent update keeps attempting to sync and failing in rapid succession. Do not buy until this is fixed. I know I can't be the only one facing these issues...

Jeff - A well thought out program. I have two Macs and this program allows me to keep my KeyChains in sync. At one point, I was having issues updating from an earlier version, I contacted the developer and he responded within 24 hours and solved my problem - great service. Also, the help and FAQ functions are excellent.

Satisfied user for over a year - I use this to sync Secure Notes from my Mac’s login keychain to my iPhone. Works great. Every few months I open up the app on my Mac and my iPhone, and everything syncs up automatically. It does exactly what I need it to do.

Keychain2Go - No support for me. If you forget the master password you are screwed. I requested support and got nothing in reply. I acknowledge my problems are self-inflicted. This was a regretable waste of time and money.

Getting long in the tooth. - Generally like the tool but the author has been promising for a years to increase its functionality but hasn’t. Concerned that the app has been abandoned.

great app - A really useful app, but don’t delay in setting up a sync with another device. Found out the hard way when I had to wipe my phone. I now sync to my Mac. My issues were addressed by the developer in <24 hr. I can’t edit from my Mac, but this is a minor issue. The prompt service alone is worth the price of the app., but you do need a second program when syncing to a Mac (not i pad).
