Jenkins Jr is Jenkins' nephew who now works as courier. He checks Jenkins jobs you'd ask him to check and would bring you a note right in your OS X Notification Center.
This app allows you to specify as many jobs as you wish, with an ability to provide username/password for those who care about continuous integration server secrecy. And it would not tie you to a specific server as all the job configurations are independent.

Doesn't work - It is impossible to tell if it is working. I put in a url and it just sat there. Builds were running and completing but nothing popped up. No ability to adjust polling time. No way to even see if it connected correctly. Needs a lot of work.

Does need work - This is a very simple app that could use a little polish. When I first launched it, it took me a minute to realize it had even opened. A liitle Jenkins icon appeared in the menu bar, but there was no splash screen or any othe indication it had launched. The app lacks instructions of any kind, and doesn’t even tell you the user name & password are not required when adding a Jenkins URL. It took a little trial and error, but I got it working on the second try. It would be nice to see some instructions added, as well as a splash screen when launching the app and some better error handling. Although I suppose the good side of this is that it is very lightweight and clean, without any superfluous clutter.
Works well until you change your password - Jenkins Jr won’t tell you when your password is invalid. Instead it will just keep hitting the API and ignoring the failure. In many coorporate environments, this will cause your account to get locked. Also icon is not visible on a the dark menu bar.
Won’t let me install. - Just says “There was an installation error”. Thanks apple/you.
