Iris is a high performance screen recorder that records to h.264. Iris leverages on-board GPU acceleration when available. It can optionally include video from a camera and up to 2 audio sources, including microphones and your computer's audio (requires additional components). Iris is free to try with a watermark embedded in recordings. Use the in-app purchase to remove watermark from new recordings.

True Genius. Any 1-star is fake! - I used Iris to create a simple YouTube channel. I wanted something free and useful and Iris really did wonders! If anybody wants quality screencasts with .mov output files for free, IRIS IS THE PLACE TO GO! I would like to personally thank Iris’s creators and encourage them to keep this program on the app store.

Excellent Tool, No Customer Service, No Tech SUpport, Lost Purchase History - LOVE This tool! Hands down my favorite screencast and video recording tool for professional use. High-quality with great customization options. I purchased Iris about 6 months ago. In the most recent MAC OS update, Iris stopped functioning correctly. It froze, the new recording screen would never appear. It was new, so I waited a few weeks and kept trying. No improvements. I uninstalled it and re-installed it. It still does not work on one of our MACs. On a second, our premium use purchase (to remove the watermark) was not restored to the app. Again, no big deal as long as it can be handled. Reached out to support, no response at all. I have received no support response, it now only works on one computer, and now can not access my purchase. Definitely a frustrating experience to see so little care taken to customer service and tech support on an otherwise excellent tool.

I need someone to explain. - I just spent 10 dollars on this because I thought it would be easy, but am I missing something?? I just recorded a simple test run video to see how it works but I can't find where the recording went.. I checked the finder and it wasn’t there. I think I’m missing something here because that’s just odd. Please, if you’re reading this and you understand how it works, please let me know, Thanks!
