Does exactly what I need: - Needed an easy way to stay up on my changing dynamic IP. Loaded this on my home machine, and it works perfect! Very happy, works as advertised!

Save your money - I downloaded this application to replace a free utility (SendMyIP) I had been using for a few years which, at the time, was not compatible with Lion. All I needed was to find out when Comcast changed my IP, which was rarely. In looking for a replacement, I discovered IP Notification in the App Store and decided to give it a try. The developer of IP Notification has responded to and acknowledged my problems, but has been unable to actually fix anything. This application is unable to send an e-mail on notification of a change in IP. I've been able to replicate this on multiple computers on different networks, but the developer doesn't seem to be able to get this issue resolved, and seems to have lost interest in doing so as I haven't heard from them in a couple weeks. (No live support, user forum only.) In addition, it continues to identify IP addresses that don't exist on my network as local addresses. I've done an extensive search, and I'm convinced that these don't exist. The best I can come up with is that it is mistakenly finding these in my Ooma VoIP device and returning them as actual values. The irony is that the developer of SendMYIP has since updated his application to version 1.6 and it now works perfectly under Lion. I'll be happy to revise this review if I ever get a copy of the software that actually works, but until then, I'd save my $1.99 and do a search for SendMYIP version 1.6 and get a utility that works.

Email body changes are not saved - Loved this product until it stopped saving changes made to the email body. You enter your text, like the name of the location etc…, and click save and it ignores thoses changes and you end up with an email with just the boilerplate text that comes with it. Tried contacting the author but to no avail as of this review.

Works, but notification email is broken - Like other reviews, I must mention that the email template doesn’t actually save when one hits the Save button. Since I would like to use this app in two locations, this is a deal breaker: I can’t distinguish the messages from either location. Which IP changed? No idea.
