The core promise of Human Japanese is to show you how everything works and never to expect you to magically know things that we haven’t yet taught you. This makes your journey into Japanese a joy, as each new piece that falls into place makes sense and every new example sentence is comprehensible.

Key concepts are explained with warmth and humor, drawing you into the nuts-and-bolts that you need to understand Japanese while keeping things down-to-earth and engaging. Our goal is to lead you from one “light bulb moment” to the next so that you stay energized and excited about the language.

Love it! - I have tried Pimsluer and Rosetta Stone, but neither provides a background to the langugage. Human Japanese is the perfect companion to either when attempting to learn Japanese.

It - This is nothing more then a digitized text book. No real interaction. No real multimedia. Not much content. I can not understand the perfect 5 stars rating by other people.

Absolutely Fantastic - I love this app. So much so, I purchased it not only on my Mac but for my phone as well. It’s perfect! The only thing it’s lacking is the ability to sync progress through different platforms.

A true guide - Good education isn’t simply “taught.” The best education resources lead you in the right direction as you fill in the blanks. Human Japanese is one of those great education guides I’m glad I purchased. Everything here is very well organized, tiered and weighted, but don’t simply click through the slides. I would highly advise you to buy a stack of notebooks and some mechanical drafting pencils. Spend a good deal of time on each chapter. Learn it. Then do it again. And again. The sound combination reviews in the early chapters are indepsensible for gating and checking your progress. I have been to Japan many times at this point and there is no substitute for immersion when it comes to langauge studies. But this program is absolutely indepsensible if you are coming from an English-speaking background. Just get some notebooks and fire up a kana keyboard for your iPhone. Practice makes perfect.

Amazing but not great at support - It is amazing what a difference it makes to learn something from someone who knows how to present concepts in a way anyone can understand. It reaches the point of being deceiving :) as all of a sudden Japanese seems to be easy (and I mean that in the best way possible) - as I am actually learning and memorizing Hiragana. Very very good - if you have doubts, start with the “Lite” version as I did, and soon enough you will see it’s worth the upgrade ;) Good luck! ======================================================= update: losing a star for not responding to message requesting support
