Great Application, A Few Minor Suggestions - I was looking for a reasonably priced application to do home layouts on. My son is buying a house that needs major renovations so I wanted a tool to plan everything out. I bought the Pro version ($5 more) but I’m not really sure what it has that the regular version doesn’t. I tried several economy class home layout products. This one hit the sweet spot. I had all the features I was looking for and the user interface worked pretty well. The documentation is very sparse but most things are fairly intuitive so that’s OK. I would be nice to have a button bar for things like turning snap, labels and measurements on and off. I would also like to ability to add lines not walls. This would help with step ups and other stuff. There could also be graphics for pocket doors. Overall a great product at a great price.
Unusable. I want a refund! - I tried the iPad version of this app and found it pretty easy to use to create a few rooms, but I couldn’t enlarge the paper size (to create a whole house) without the app crashing. So I bought the Mac version and can't even create a single room. When I first opened the software, I could draw lines, but now none of the tools work. And the tool bar is duplicating itself like crazy. Restarting doesn't help. Absolutely unusable, even for a few minutes. Why can’t I contact the developer for help or for a refund?

Pro?? - Literally minutes into using this app and it crashes while I was trying to adjust the angle of the 3D render panel in the bottom, right corner. Should have listened to the reviews complaining of crash issues but thought maybe that would have been one of bug fixes in the latest update. Getting pretty tired of $15 here and there for apps that obviously aren’t required to function at the same level as actual reliable software. Can no longer find the feature for simply creating an opening/hole in a wall allowing for open floor plan designing. This version seemingly removed all right-click features and placed them in the top toolbar requiring the use of a new drop-down menu. No efficiency there. Also, not sure why certain kitchen items don’t lock onto the wall anymore. Walls and kitchen counters are as far as I got before the app crashed. Might update this if I manage to get any further in a design.
difficult to use, non standard dimensions - I got this app thinking it would be easier to figure out how to lay out the furnature in my new house, calculate square footage for pain purchasing, etc. WRONG the program is enormously glitchy and will make it look like you’ve deleted your room. putting in dimensions for walls, windows and the like is almost impossible, the program ranomly decides a standard point and if you move a wall it moves the windows and doors to be proportionate. don’t even bother with the furnature and fixtures, they look cute but the dimensions are not standardized to anything. for example the bed isn’t a typical dimensioning for a king, twin or queen, it’s like they just picked something that made the grafic look best. i’ve spent more time trying to get dimensions in than if i would have just ruffed it out on paper writen down the dimensions and drafted it out. very unhappy with my wasted $$
not user-friendly - App is not intuitive, and the help page is not either.
Great program - This is a great program. I just wish it had a few more optinons in appliances such as washer/dryer so that you could see it to scale. Other than that, it gives you a great idea of what your house will look like.
Crashed and lost my work within the first two hours. - Not sure what else needs to be said. I’ve emailed the author about getting a refund, but he has not contacted me yet.
