Hardware Notifier takes advantage of Notification Center to let you know when your USB devices are plugged or unplugged. A simple and unobtrusive way to monitor your USB devices.

Works as advertised - It's pleasing to get more use out of the notification center, and this utility works exactly as advertised with little memory use. That said, this is one-trick pony: USB devices connected and disconnected. I hope to see the developer add more functionally — support for firewire or thunderbolt, or volumes if allowed by the Sandbox. One could argue the neccesety of a pay-ware feature which visually notifies the user that they have just physically plugged something in, but a notification when a volume is mounted or dismounted would make this useful.

Nice Idea, Bad Desgin - The app is a good idea, but the problem is the app cannot run faceless. That is to say, you end up with a badge in your dock that cannot be hidden. It would be nice to be able to hide the dock icon.
