pay the $1.99! - The free version of this game is only ok. Graphics and play are fine but at the easy level (the only one available in the free version) its hard to lose. Now that I’ve upgraded to the paid version I’m only winning about half the time at the “Normal” level. So get the free version. If you like it upgrade to play for real.

I want my money back! - This game playing AI takes the first card dealt every time! Unless it is a bad card, then it passes!! I have been keeping track and I reach out for a card I want that should be mine and it snaps it up! No wonder AI is hard to beat…it totally cheats! No support site...I cannot find any place but here to ask why this is happening…so a one star rating. I used to have an excellent gin rummy game but they stopped making it for Macs…sad because I love the game and this just isn’t going to cut it. I will try to get my money back and keep searching. If they had a legit help page I might give them more stars, but it seems they do not care enough to even do that. Even the clickable sentence above the box which says “If you need support, please visit Gin Rummy Pro Support" goes to ads for other games…no support.

Hands end too quick! - I’ve been playing the purchased version for a couple of months and while I do enjoy it there are a few things that are bothersome. The first being the hands end too quick a lot of the time. Like when the cards are dealt and within a couple of seconds the either I’m able to know or the computer is. This is a result of being dealt an almost completed hand. (I prefer building my own hand and I don’t want the computer to be able to knock that soon either.) I also agree with a few other reviews. Such as “really not nice” review as well as “fun to play but needs improvement”. When I first started playing this game I played at the normal level and soon moved up to difficult. I like the challenge. But I agree that the game needs improvements.

Review by The nickname "Metalsmith" is taken, because it's MINE!

really not nice - I wanted to see the rules (I'd always played that knocking with the same score was a push, not an undercut). The rules given didn't answer the question so I clicked on the Wikipedia button --- and was taken to the developers page which is all ads. Apparently, there is no way to communicate with the developer, which is a VERY BAD THING! I picked up the middle card of a run. instead of allowing me to change my meld and knock, it threw away an important card and destroyed my hand when I tried to force the game to do the (to me) sensible thing, it threw away the card I needed to win. VERY frustrating. [I think knocking with 6, 4 moves into the game is a winning proposition.]
