Easy … Once you figure it out. - A paragraph of instruction would have been nice. Once you figure it out it’s a breeze. I was NOT forced to upload anything to GIPHY or join their site. I was able to save it anywhere on my computer I wanted to. *** Your video will play behind the APP window. You simply start and stop the recording where you want. Don’t worry you can fine tune it in the EDIT mode. This is a very good FREE App.

Marketing ploy disguised as an app. - This was not an update, this was a cynical bait and switch scam. This is a marketing ploy disguised as an app. The important abilities to add/delete individual frames and to see the file size before saving have been removed. An example of why these features are important: tumblr allows a 2 meg maximum file size for gifs. Gifgrabber allowed users to edit the gif until it fit within the 2 meg confines before saving. The saved gifs look awful, with loss of detail and color. More time was spent making this look like the Giphy site (which is tacky and obnoxious) than making it a functional and useful app. DO NOT “update” i.e., replace your beloved Gifgrabber with this marketing scheme! It’s only good for newbs or for those wanting to make an occasional gif. I personally have made 1000’s of gifs and have a large following on tumblr. P.S. I’m sure Giphy is working on a “pro” version of this software, which won’t be free. They knew this would cause an outage with gif makers.

Can’t even review it - GifGrabber was simple and an amazing app…next thing I know i have this app and when I tried to use it nothing shows up. I’ve tried uninstalling then re-installing several times and nothing. I’ve updated my computer and still nothing. There are no threads to discuss this problem but I cannot be the only one experiencing this

Does not work - Program opens, nothing appears except menu at top. The only functional button is Quit. Lame.

Would be 10x better with clipboard and/or share functionality - It’s nice, but it would be great if there was the ability to just drop the recording onto the clipboard, or even share it via Slack/email/whatever without having to save, manually upload and manually delete the saved file.

The Best Gif Creation Solution for Me - I’ve been using this for months & it’s my go-to app for creating GIFS. The user interface is sleek & very functional. I love how you can trim clips, download your GIFS in different resolutions & sizes, immediately upload the GIF to GIPHY for those quick one off GIFS you don’t care about and just want to share a quick link with someone. I really haven’t had problems with this app.
