Great App for My Simple Needs - I have a host gator site and needed to upload files to it in an easy way. I wanted to be able to drag and drop files in. I also wanted it to remember the info so I wouldn’t have to jump through hoops each time I used the softwre. This fits those requirements.

How to use Flash FTP - It is pretty intuitive once you get started. The left side of the page is the source of the files on your local computer. On the right hand side is the location you are wanting to upload to (you see that after you log in). To log in you click on the little icon at the top of the page that looks like two desktop computers one behind the other. If you need to go to a particular folder the pull down “more options” and give it the name of your folder in answer to “remote path:” Once you see on the right hand side of the page the place where you want to put your new (or updated file) then locate the file you wish to upload on the left side of the page and click on it to highlight it. Then pull down the “file” menu and choose “upload”. You don’t drag and drop like the advertisement says.

Review by John - Subscriptions

Will not open certain sites - support is non-existent - I was able to open this same ftp site and log-in using a standard browser ( Chrome ), but all I get with this app is an error message: ( NSURLErrorDomainerror -1002 ). Support is non-existent with a very primitive web site that looks totally amateurish. I'm dumping this in the trash. Wasted $4 STAY AWAY

GH - The app is easy to use (intuitive if you've ever used these programs before) and performs well.
