File Stitcher

Developer: Pariahware, Inc.

Current Version: 2.2.0

Last Updated: 4 years ago

Download Size: 2.3 MB - Download

Description:

File Stitcher is the easiest MP3 merging utility there is. Simply drag and drop the files you wish to merge on the application icon and click the "Stitch Files" button.

Don't re-encode your MP3s, File Stitch them together!

• To add multiple files at one time, drag them in from the Finder.
• Files should be of the same bit rate, may require pre-processing.
• In rare instances, after files have been "stitched" they can not be imported into iTunes. I have not been able to figure out why. Most people have no trouble with it. I encourage you to try the demo first.

Needs some work - This is still buggy. $14.99 is a lot of money to spend on something that should be fixed. Wish I could get a refund...but that's how the App store works...you can't. :( Try this before you buy it!

Good App But needs Improvement - Dude this is a great app, it does exactly what I need (I wanted to merge a bunch of comedy tacks into just a single album). But man, for $14.99, you should be able to drag and drop a big list of tracks into the app and just have it go from there. Having to manually pick each track is such a pain!

Great! but... - It's absolutely great. Only issue, I wish they'd streamline is in the situation of having variable bit rate files. Just set your files to all be the same bit rate.

Not working well - I can't get the file to open in iTunes. After stitching, it says that it's possible it won't be able to be played in iTunes…huh? Why don't they disclose this before I purchase it? I couldn't download a trial from their website because my computer says it won't install programs from untrustworthy sites (I realized later that I was able to change my Apple setting to permit this) . This software wasn't updated since January 2011 which was more than a year and a half ago, so I should have thought this purchase through first. I'm out my $14.99, I'll try to get a refund through Apple but there's no guarantee.

Works - Does exactly what is claimed. Smooth simple interface. Unbelievably fast. ID tags flow through seamlessly. Works great to stich together audio book chapters.
