Truly amazed, a lot of potential - From the beginning the game astounded me with its incredible graphics. The characters might be a little bit pixelated but it gives it a sort of charm to the game. The 'strobe-like' effect that others see is fixed by setting your resolution in the Options part of the game menu. Please read the instructions before playing the game. Don't confuse this fabolously created game with Zynga's "FarmVille." There is no comparison. This game is actually divided into seasons which truly reflects the planter's calendar. The game's picturesque and bucolic atmosphere mimics the Old Country in Europe, or some areas of 19th Century North America. I'm wholeheartedly love this sort of games. I didn't hesitate to buy it, and the launch-week discount was a bonus too. I would gladly pay $14.99 for this any day of the week. It's is ruly worth it. The game is light, downloads fast, and runs well on a Mac. If you have a MacBook Air 13" i5 mid-2011 version, fret not. It runs perfectly. I give it a 5/5.

Navigation Fix - I've had lots of fun with this game. I started having problems with the navigation as the camera would stick and go constantly to one side. One day in frustration I hit all the arrow keys at the same time and that would kick start the camera to center and then I was able to play. In the options setting I chose to slow the camera speed and made the screen larger. I'm now stuck on the "Best of Breed" scenario and have played it at least 9 times, only to fail because I can't get by breed quality high enough. If I only had one more year.

Navigation sticks - Have been playing this on a 13" MacBook for nearly a year. It's difficult to navigate quickly through the fields using the arrow keys and the track pad, and without fail, the navigation ends up sticking at some point, so that the navigation zooms constantly to the left. (I hold down the right key and I go right, until I let go and the game automatically zooms left, making it impossible to do anything to the fields on the right of the screen.) When this happens, I have to quit the game (losing all that year's progress) and restart it to get the navigation back to normal. This bug has made this game such a pain I don't enjoy it anymore.
