The no-nonsense shutter actuations count reader.
Whether you are buying a used Canon EOS camera or just giving attention to your existing photo gear it is sometimes useful to know how many shots a particular camera has taken.
The modern DSLR’s shutter has pretty big, but still limited resource, that varies in 100,000–150,000 shots range. Unfortunately, for some reason Canon decided to hide the diagnostic info from user’s eye.
That’s where EOS Inspector comes into play! Download the app and connect your Canon EOS camera via USB cable to get accurate shutter actuations count measurement.

Does exactly as it says with a beautifully minimal design. - Any time you want to buy or sell a camera online, knowing how many times the shutter has fired is a mandatory piece of information. This app does that fast and presents the information in nicely designed screen. I appreciate the care the developer took to show the camera data in a clean concise way. It worked perfectly on my Canon 60D.
Bogus info - The serial number displayed by this program did not match my camera (Canon 7D). Given this bogus information, i have no confidence that the shutter count is any more accurate. I have received no response from the support email address after several days.

No shutter count on Canon 5Ds - It’s not showing shutter count on the Canon 5Ds. Please fix. Thanks
Canon 60D - I have two canon 60D’s and this app did not function on either one of them. Save your money!
Did not Work! - This app did not work with my canon 70d. Tried it several times and nothing showed up. Keep your two dollars!
Worked Perfectly - I was worried because of the negative reviews, however I had wasted about two hours with different Windows utilities and other nonsense trying to get shutter counts on my 5Dmkii and 7D. I figured I would gamble the $2 price. This utility works PERFECTLY and gave me exatly what I wanted, and exactly what several other methods failed to do. I was, hower, careful to check the list of supported cameras on the publisher’s website (or read reviews of camers that have worked). I see a lot of people trying this app with older cameras that are not supported. If your camera is on the list of supported cameras, this program will work and it works very well.
Any love for the 5D Mark IV? - The 5D Mark IV has been out for almost a year now.
