Great for research ! - I usually use it for research papers. It's AWESOME for multitasking. What is do is type in multiple "notes" regarding the topic, and while i wait for this app to find the information, i can do other things. It makes studying and researching so much more efficient. Usually in search engines there are a lot of irrelevant pages, but with this its mostly all useful ! That's why research is so easy. Sometimes if I am thinking about something but i dont really want to look it up, I type it in there and leave it until I feel like i want to go back to it. It stays out of sight, out of mind. Which is great because i get side-tracked really easily! You can also use this as a to-do list that has helpful links. It's basically google whenever you need it. But one more thing i REALLY like about this is that instead of having to click "back" as you would on google to check out another link, all the suggested links are on the side panel to the left, with the content on the right. And you can close and open it whenever you want !

Useless - I tried this, and the results that I was given were not relevant to what I had entered. It's a good idea, but I'd stick with Google searches. That's basically what this is. I remember having a little difficulty with the icon and the window. The way the app functions is needlessly frustrating. It's not a very streamlined experience. The controls are not intuitive. I also believe this app requires you to sign up for something. It’s a brilliant idea but very rough around the edges.

What happened? How did it become useless? - I downloaded Dunno when I first read about it a couple of years ago. I found it very useful to research some topics I’m writing about. And a little more pleasant and efficient than using a web browser for the same purpose. But I am baffled at how useless the app - and its support site - have become. I created an account some months ago so that I could sync results with my iPad and everything seemed to work fine. Now I open either one and the app indicates ‘Error’ when I try to log in. ‘Error' when I try to get my password. And I can’t even log on to the support page. Or sign up with whole new credentials! The support page tells me my account has been suspended, in fact, and that I should contact my account administrator. Who would that be? There’s no way to contact anyone at Dunno except Sales without logging into the support page. What happened?

WAS great app - seems to be no longer supported - I would love to be able to update this with a five star review, but the app and the site have ceased to work. Perhaps the company folded? I hope not, but...

On No, Dunno! - In 2010, I disovered Dunno which assists in the scholastic research process. Since then, I have found the Dunno has gone from a ‘free’ app to now requiring an “upgrade’ to partake of the many featurs offered. Matter-of-factly, Dunno no longer supples support services to existing members. For example. I am unable send or receive password reset assistnace, nor can I login to create a new account via Facebook, Google Plus, or Twitter. What happened Dunno? Why are you no longer able to provide technical support to existing members. As a doctoral candidate, how else can I conduct scholastic research other than numerous hours of webbrowsing?
