This is the real deal - I used to waste quarter after quarter on this game when I was a kid…first of all for those of you born after 95…this game set the stage for everyone on graphics and experience…long before COD! Second for all the negative reviews…they are wrong. This is 100% accurate to the original and the playability is the same as well. Negative writers…understand the game before you start knocking…this game was was made in 1983…30 years ago!!! This game follows the programming of 1983…there are set moves at a set time…period. Just a piece of history…this is one of 3 games on permanet display at the Smithsonian Institution…pretty cool! Great job and thanks for making me feel old!

Very Disappointing! Not as good as other ports … - COULD HAVE BEEN A WHOLE LOT BETTER !! (seems like it was rushed.. hopefully there will be an update!) EXTREMELY annoying sound byte when selecting options…. sounds like a troll hiccuping. Not a true Arcade Port.. for example the burning ropes.. you aren't able to jump on them immediately. Would be nice if there was an option to select true full-screen option (minus finder menu) along with P&S option. The Video is cropped considerably at the bottom where you cannot see the full-frame. Dirk's feet are gone !!!! AND SOMETHING I'VE NEVER UNDERSTOOD… who cares about a high-score in this game.. it's all about getting to the end! Bottom line: The iOS version is tons better.. along with the Dragon's Lair ports for the home systems.. including Windows!

Practically unplayable - At first I was thrilled when I saw this in the store; I remember playing it in the arcade. I enthusiastically paid for the game and installed, but when I started playing I found it's almost impossible to play. Doesn't respond to my choices and jumps from scene to scene without allowing me to interact. Waste of money.

Dragon's Lair - This game is exactly like the arcade game. Anyone that gave this title a bad review has never really played the original or has lost their memory through the years. The game controls are identical to the original. Timing of your moves is everything. I would recommend this to anyone who was a real fan of the original acarde game or anyone else who wants to enjoy a classic from the 80's

Just like the arcade - The gameplay is exactly as I remember it in the 80s. I am glad I am not popping quarters in like before! Fun to play, still difficult to manage. Really like the Home Mode. Great app!

Buy this and get a mid-life crisis - I was hesitant to buy this reading some of the feedback, but was pleasantly surprised with it. The game is just like the original that us old farts used to play in Showbiz pizza back in the 80s. It will give you a mid-life crisis, but it's a great version of the original.

The Arcade LaserDisc Classic!! - Seeing all the negative reviews for this game, I went ahead and purchased this game. For $9.99, it's a great buy!! It plays excatly like the arcade did, although I never played it when I was younger. I also have this game for my iPhone as well. The graphics are excatly like the arcade the the controls are spot on!! It does take timing to do certain things. Having the move beeps on as well as the move indicators on helps, as these will help to get the timing down. You DO have to press the appropriate arrow key at a precise moment, or you'll either die in rather gruesome ways. This works just like the iOS port, as I have that version. My only gripes are the full screen mode and a bug when exiting the game. The full screen mode is not really full screen. It's windowed with the bottom truncated. The Menubar shows and you have to hide the Dock manually. The other is a bug. Sometimes when I exit, the sound and music still plays back. To remedy this, go into the Activity Monitor and Force Quit the App. Other than those two issues I mentioned, the game works very well. I really do hope thay correct these two areas and the game will be perfect. Becasue of the two issues, I'm giving this a 4 star.
