This is a great application - If you’re looing for midi or theatrical style cue based control of dmx lighting, this is it! This app features patching of any address to any of the 48 control channels. Midi notes and commands can also be attached to any control channel, master, submaster, and cue buttons. MSC can control cues. I use this app on a weekly basis for at least three hours in a live setting and an haven’t had any sort of crashes EVER since I started using it in 2012. I feel like the app producer listens to suggestions for features, even if there haven’t been any updates in a while. I’ve used this app in both a busking concert setting and a pre-programmed theatrical setting. I used a midi controller to bump channels, and control cues. It runs smoothly from midi with virtually no delay. Cues can have fade times and all fades play smoothly on the machines I’ve run this on. I’ve tested with Enttec Open DMX USB, Enttec USB DMX Pro, and DMX King DMX RDM Pro (my personal favorite) All three interface with this program perfectly.) This program also recieves art-net commands which is a feature that is nice sometimes but can interfere other times, especially if you have this program running on two machines on the same network. Would love to see an option to ignore Art-Net input, but still be able to output artnet. The artnet remote app for iPhone works well too.

Version 1.4

Locks Up Constantly - This version is horrible. The features are fantastic, but it locks up all the time. I have to either kill all MIDI software, or reset the MIDI subsystem, or restart the computer. What a pain in the butt. When it works, I love it, but it's just not stable. I don't have a HUGE setup, in fact only a KORG nanoKontrol and Ableton Live. I'm using the Entec OpenDMX USB, which is supported. Their support 'website' is two tips, not very helpful, and I've recieved NO responses to the several emails I've sent.
