Storage Disk Almost Full - Seriously, that warning is almost as annoying as the “Storage Full” notification on my iPhone. Was I irritated that I couldn’t figure out a free way to safely clear up memory? Yes. Was I irritated that the free version only cleaned up SOME of my memory? Yes. But then I realized that I have been transferring files and accruing new ones on a Mac since 2003 and this is the first time I’ve actually run out of space that I couldn’t free up by deleting video and/or old document files. (If you don’t have an external drive, get one. Unless you’re a computer whiz, you’ll NEVER fill it up.) I purchased this app and the Disk Doctor one from the same developer. Less than ten bucks and I freed up a HUGE amount of space and I won’t have to see that stupid warning for a while, either. Additionally, this app is cost-effective and seems to do the same job as well or better than some other programs out there (I nearly bought one for $40; what an idiot!). User-friendly and unobtrusive, which is a lot more than I can say for a lot of other computer “stuff."

Program is a rating Beggar - I have never written a review for an app before. But I felt compelled. First of all, let me say I love this program. It is exactly what it promises to be, and does exactly what it promises to do. Unfortunately, *EVERY* time you use it, it throws a popup window asking you to share your experience on twitter and facebook, and asking you to rate it on the app store. I do *not* want to see this every time I use the app. So I’m rating it 1 star. Don’t download this unless you want to be harassed every time you use this program to show your friends and make an advertisement for them. Edit: I’ve used it again even after rating and writing a review thinking maybe that would get rid of the prompt. It doesn’t. So even AFTER you rate, it still throws an abusive window at you asking you to review EVERY time you use it. Please, developers, realize this is a bad idea! Why have such abusive software? Otherwise the program is great but you’ve tainted it!!!

I ran it and it was ok. Cleaned ~1-2GB. Ran competitor clean ~3GB - I ran this application and it cleaned around 1 to 2 GB (~1.8). Then I ran a competing product and it cleaned another 3.3 GB. Seems like this product isn’t really the best in this class. However, it does clean up some space.

Illiterate UI Engineer - It’s a useful tool but the UI was designed by an illiterate. It says “Bare with me”. Yes, it really does. I guess we’re supposed to get naked while using this thing. OK.

Excellent, keeps overworked computers sane. - This utility is easy to use, absolutely wonderful, cleans up gigabytes of disk space otherwise lost to old files, and keeps the machine faster and more usable over time (especially when a computer is constantly busy and used hard daily.) This is an indespensible utility.
