"The main hook in this game has to be the sense of humor that permeates it... the difference is that this game is beautiful, gory, and has a wonderful (and twisted) sense of humor.” - T. Byrl Baker, Computer Gaming World
It all began in a world where dragons roamed the land and knights fought with valor and honor.
And then there was Dink. Can a simple pig farmer thrust into an epic journey of magic and adventure save the world?

DINK IS BACK! - I've been a Dink fan for quite some time. An amazing freeware game. I was surprised when the iPhone version was released, and even more surprised to see it in the Mac AppStore. BOTTOM LINE: GET THIS GAME. It's free, so give it a try. You'll like it. :)
kind of dumb - boring, old graphics, and nothing like zelda, or any other cool game like some of the reviews had mentioned. The name itself shows about how good of a game this should be..... Dink Smallwood. How dumb is that?!!

great, fun game - In response to Etporter, who said there was an issue with inconvenient controls on Macs, I agree. BUT IT IS EASILY FIXED if you simply disable mission control apple menu-system preferences-keyboard-keyboard shortcuts-mission control you should not have the problem anymore! Dink Smallwood is funny, snarky, and a great parody of adventure games like Zelda. It also gives you enjoyable options to control how your character advances with leveling up through magic/attack/health. A really great game for free :)
Lots of fun!!! - Dink is one of those games that you can keep coming back to over the years. The graphics and sound are dated, but that is NOT the point! Yes, it's pretty straightforward to play. The story is somewhat unique. The humor is great. But the thing that makes Dink special is the ability to customize the game and write your own episodes! You can really have a ball with that part. Just check out the Dink Network and you will find hundreds of existing modifications. There is a huge collection of Dmods pre-made. The fun lasts and lasts. And if you are good at C+ and any kind of scripting, then the programming and scripting for Dink is nothing to learn. I played through the original game in a couple weeks just on a little spare time each day. I got a kick out of it so I purchased the IOS version. Then I decided I needed more so I pulled down some of the Dmods to my Macbook. Then I figured out how easy it is to pull them down to my iPad. Just copy the DL link from the Dink Network and pulled a bunch over to that as well. Finally, I decided to check out the "DinkC" and started writing some mods of my own. I have completely customized my Dink games on my Macbook and my iPad now. Lots of fun! Check it out!
A Very Engaging Game! - The Game is a lot of fun and you can download mods even after you finish to play more adventures! Graphics are okay. Dialogue is hilarious!
Poor Controls - Fun and unny game, but the controls make it impossible to play. If you accidently hit ctrl and an arrow key at the same time it minimizes the game. Please make the controls customizable!
