** No more chaos on your desktop. Keep related files on in groups. **
Lifehacker verdict: “If you've got a messy desk, this app can help you regain control.”
The app lets you create groups of related files on your desktop. You can freely move groups of files around on your desktop and add or remove files via drag & drop.
Each group has a title so that you can organize your files any way you like. For example, you could create separate groups for each project you are working on, or add separate groups for photos and text documents. If you frequently take screenshots, that would be another good fit for a group. The possibilities are endless.
Quick Look integration: press Space or Cmd-Y to open a Quick Look preview of the selected file.
• Group related files on your desktop
• Add/remove files via drag & drop
• Freely move groups around
• Resize groups by dragging either edge/corner
• Rename by double-clicking on the group title
• Context menu with more options
• Dock or menu bar icon (choose via Preferences)
• Additional list view with file names to the right of icons
• Adjust opacity of title and group background
• Change the background color
• Hide the reflections
• Adjust the grid size
The folder that contains the files in your groups is now called "All Your Desktop Groups Files" instead of just "Desktop Groups" so that it shows up at the top in Finder for easier access.

sync across machines - I put the 'Desktop Groups' folder inside my dropbox, which is the first desktop syncing I've ever seen. When I get home and open my laptop, my desktop looks the same as it did at work on my desktop. This is very helpful - thanks!
Not very good.. - So. I have a lot of issues with this app. Firstly, I didn't research before I paid and wasted 5 or 6 bucks. Anyways, I hope the app's improved by a lot. My problems: 1.) No retina support. 2.) There's no option to hide the icon from my dock. When it's open, it takes up a slot. 3.) There's no options at all. 4.) Don't think the app even automatically opens itself when you start up (or even give an option to). 5.) Buggy. Don't buy this. Learn from my impulsiveness unless of course there's an encompassing update.

Desktop Groups - A great app for organizing folders and files on your desktop. The groups function as super-folders that are so much more visually distinguishable than what you’re used to. I can see all my desktop folders and files at a glance, grouped in boxes that corall them efficiently. It’s helped me organize things and it makes my work more efficient.
