With a single click, Desktop Cleaner will give you a spotless desktop. All of the files that had been previously taking up precious space will be found safe and organized within your Documents folder. Files will be sorted into sub-folders based on file extension or category ("Images", "Audio", "Video", etc.)

You can instruct Desktop Cleaner to skip over any essential shortcuts, files, or programs that you would like to keep on your desktop. You can also specify the destination folder and how you would like the files to be sorted/organized.

Best of all, you'll finally be able keep all your working copies and downloads right on your desktop where they are easy to find, knowing that you can sweep it all clean whenever you want in a matter of seconds.

Does the trick - Worth the money. My only wish is that it would separate office files by kind (e.g., a separate folder for powerpoints, docs, xls, etc.). Thanks!

Too Legit To Quit! - Hands down, this is a power app if you like to quickly and easily organize and clear your desktop. I used to spend an hour a week organizing my desktop. Now I spend 5 mins. The very first time I used it, it immediately paid for itself twice over in the time I would have spent to otherwise sort out my desktop. If you're as busy as I am, and dump things to your desktop in desperation to do things quickly... you need this app to clean up after you. Get it.

Clean Sweep for your Mac - Everything I save/download goes to my desktop. I had 200+ icons sitting there. One fell swoop, and they were all swept to a folder of my choice. Easy, took 2 seconds, and now I can see my wallpaper again.

Great app to get organized for presenters and createive types! - If you do presentations from your laptop, or you're a creative type, this application can help you get organized quickly. I've tried several applications that claim to do the same thing, but this is hands-down the best one I've tried. I've used apps that "cover the desktop up", or "hide your desktop icons", but many of them can get in the way, and don't always work when you use something like Exposé during a presentation. Desktop Cleaner on the other hand does exactly what it says it does, and in a very slick way. To clean your desktop, it moves the files/folders off your desktop, and organizes them (by media type if you want) into a folder structure. It can be configured to leave aliases on your desktop (which I personally use to access specific folders daily) where they are, as well as create a "don't touch" or "ignore" list of files/folders you don't want it moving off the desktop (like your presentation file or project folder). The feature that I would love to see added at this point (and why I marked the app down 1 start) is the ability to leave files on the desktop based on the "date created", "date modified", or "date added" to the desktop. This would let creative types clean up their desktop say weekly, but not move the files/folders that have most recently be used or created (without having to create a custom "ignore" list). So, if you want to get organized quickly, then grab this app!
