Amazing - I have used alot of other programs like this or heard reviws about them, and they weren't exceptional. This one went above and beyond what I wanted, and it was free. I saw the good rating, and decided to try it out. It is amazing and deserves a solid 5/5. The only thing that I ask is not about the program, but improve the title/logo, to make it look better from the outside so more people are likley to try it. Thanks for a great program!
NO SOUND! - First off, all of the Screen Recording apps on the Mac app store are from 2 people. This one works fine except ONE BIG PROBLEM………NO SOUND………. No use to me with out the use of sound. try again.

Great app - I would have paid a dollar - I don't know why this developer is giving this away for free but it filled the needs of screen video capturing app for my Mac mini. There are a couple default options which you might want to reconfigure after you first open the app. I checked off "Full Screen" to capture my whole screen. The app provides you the option of capturing a portion of the screen using a little window that you can move around. I chose "USB PnP Sound Device" in the "Enable Sound" drop down box. I had problems setting up my microphone headset but I found out that there's a switch on my headset which enabled PC/MAC input. I also UNCHECKED the "Automatically stop recording after 0 seconds". This lets you record indefinately. Please note that the app seems to record at a very high Quicktime encoding. 10 seconds of recording takes about 1.4 MB with the resolution that I'm on (1920 x 1080). A 10 minute demonstration will be roughly 84 MB. It seems reasonable though. I'm guessing the PRO version of this app ($5 at the moment) lets me record in other formats/encodings.
Sound still seems to have issues - Everything about this programs seems like it'd be a perfect fit for my recording needs, except for the fact that it doesn't seem to be able to record audio that plays on the computer. I need to be able to record sound from my computer as I'm going to be using programs like this to showcase my music. Once this isssue is fixed, you'll definitely recieve five stars from me.
***** USE SOUNDFLOWER TO REDIRECT SOUND ***** - this Demo Recorder app works great. and at the moment it's free. for people having problems recording the sound and are getting nothing or only the microphone recording what's coming out of your speakers, you'll have to redirect the sound from the mac. that's the problem because the sound is going to the speakers and nothing is going directly to the app except from the microphone as internal input. go search on the internet and download Soundflower which is free and then everytime you use this Demo Recorder app, do a option-click on the sound icon in your menu bar at the top of the screen and select Soundflower (2ch) for both Output Device and Input Device (do both so you don't get anything from the microphone), then select Soundflower (2ch) on this Demo Recorder, and then record whatever you're doing on your mac. You won't hear a thing when it's recording and that's because the sound is being redirected to this Demo Recorder app. When you're done, do the option-click on the sound icon on the menu bar again, and switch the sound back to internal speakers and internal microphone in order to get your speakers and mic working as you would normally have them. Then play the recording (the .mov file) that you recorded and then you should hear the sound in the recording.
Recorder - this does a fine job on video, but then so does Quicktime which is included on Lion. If you set the audio for "internal input" it does NOT work. If you set it to "Microphone" it works fine, but all this is doing is having the Mac microphone record the sound put out by the speakers, so you MUST have your sound blaring in order to record it. Even listing on headphones defeats this because there is nothing "internal" going on here - only if the speakers are outputting sound the microphone can hear will it work. Too bad.
Why No Sound? - Easy to use, but I cannot get the sound to record, and many of the other reviews say the same. The application says "sound problem fixed" but no explanation, or even addresses how to troubleshoot. Help pls. I have a iMAC w/ Lion.
