Great - The most important things that I look for in an app of this kind are present–free of cost, a design that is very well integrated (into the theme of the cutom applications), a simple easy to navigate (straightforward) interface and whether it does what it’s supposed to. I can easily check off everything on this list. Good app, thanks.

Warning: Constant ads to download other apps. - It’s amazing that such an app made it on to the store. Yes, it does decompress, but you have to wade through massive ads that will download other apps from who-knows-where if you touch anything on the window. And they make it difficult to close that window with more popups. Stay away from apps like this, they are likely to download trojans or other virus and apps that will take over your machine.

Opening RAR Files - I had not come across a RAR file till today and had to google for information on what I needed to open one on my MBP. After reading through a blog post, I decided to come to the App Store and see what was available. I chose Decompressor due the the high number of satisfied Customer ratings, and due to the fact it was FREE. I used it today and found the process simple enough. I only wish it cleanly and easily provided me with a choice of Folders to open up the compressed files. The ‘Options’ button did not really give me many options! That is the only grouse I have on my first use. I will however give the App 5 Stars because it was absolutely simple to use. Thank you Decompressor.

Good, but not clean. - It works great and has a modern look. However, I don’t like the fact that the application sits on your dock after you’ve extracted. You must quit the app yourself with ⌘Q. Also, if you open the application by itself, you’re given a spammy window. I’m sticking with The Unarchiver.

Does Exactly What You Want - Simple and as easy as clicking on things and decompressing and compressing…. supports multi part… Have used it for months now and any errors had to do with the source I was using… Not this tool… Really quite impressive.

Quick, Fast, and Efficient - I’ve tried using a number of free to lite RAR file extractors and this one by far is the ABSOLUTE BEST!!! I needed to quickly open an Adboe Premier file that was shared with me via Google Drive from a PC user on my Mac and did so in under 5 min inclusive of the time it took to install the Decompressor app on my computer. The other apps I’ve tried either just didn’t work or took forever to extract files. Needless to say I’ve removed all of those as I have settled on this one. Also the fact that its in the App store gives me the security to know that Developer wise its passed Apple’s test which is good enough for me! Save yourself the headache of other extractors and get the one that actually works. And its free!

Works! - This application worked on a windows zip file that the native Mac utility failed on. Very Happy. I have only needed it once so far.
